I am loving the synergy of our 2 little side businesses. Feels like Captain Planet or something lol, "with our powers combined..." lol. Or maybe Voltron would be a hipper analogy :)

Cool, there is a similar service for Japan now.

dv8mad, I do have a question though: say I was looking for something but I have no clue whether it exists in that form or not, is that a valid request? For example, if I wanted to get the entire regular set of Yumi Sugimoto trading card set but I have no idea whether its ever sold as a complete set or just as packs and boxes (or even if it's available any more) or Rin Takanashi cards (does she even have any cards since Shinkenger just finished?)

In cases like that, the service would fall under Item Location and Purchase. Basically, I have looked for things in the past that didn't exist. We just didn't know it at the time. Basically the fee ends up being a time/travel fee in that case though. However, I can often come across something you are looking for, or sometimes something very similar. Usually everyone is happy in the end. At worst, you will know if the items are available or not! :D

I would rather be a combining transformer. However, right now we are crippled. If only we could get matching services from China, Korea and uhhh... Africa?

Haha yes so we are Captain Planet-esque Transforming Power Rangers searching for Dragon Balls. Sounds good to me =)

As for services from China, Korea and Africa, we'll have to work on them ... I think you overlooked Europe and Australia though! Those are HUGE markets ^_^.

Happy 4th of July everyone :) I realize you guys don't celebrate it in Canada, but it's a big deal here in the States. I'll be working at the casino from 10AM-6PM but will be doing packing and invoicing when I get home. Lots to do! Also, the post office will also be closed on Monday I just found out but that won't stop me from packing up nearly all the items and getting them ready to go out when they re-open Tuesday morning. Thanks again guys. Busy week for me!

Goomba I want to get an item from Lockerz using my points but they don't ship to Canada.

I was wondering if I could have it sent to you and then have you forward it to me.

This is the item
http://shop.lockerz....y-xiii-ps3.html

I'd order it myself. With my points I'd get it for free including shipping to you.

The only problem is I don't know what address to send it to.

Just received my backpack, wallet, and uh... european coin bag(?)

Interesting, because I got my razor on Monday, despite it being sent quite some time AFTERWARDS. I'm definitely pleased with all of the stuff though! A bunch of friends and family are quite impressed with the razor and the deal I got on it, so I might even eventually order a couple more :)

Also, for the first time in ages, we're almost completely caught up! The only thing I have yet to receive are the extra detergent cartridges for that razor, and then I can stop getting up earlier than usual in order to not miss the mail  I may order a couple other things soon, but we'll see, as I bought a nice LED TV which has taken up a nice chunk of my disposable income for a while.

Thanks again for all you've helped me out with though, I greatly appreciate everything you've done.

emjaymj, so glad you're enjoying your new items (especially the razor). I should have your cartridges any day now :) So I'll get those out. Feels good to be caught up, doesn't it?

forevergone, your tail lights just came in as a matter of fact. I should have them shipped out tomorrow with the decal. The tail lights came in two separate packages so I will probably ship them out separately as well :).

CaptainKishimoto, I shall check it out. Thanks!

Everyone else: I am still around. I just had a really busy week due to the holiday and next week I will be shifting to grave shift (midnight / 2AM / 4AM time starts) at the casino so my hours are going to be really weird for Emailing and updating :) Also, there's a lot of things going on in my family right now, so that's taking a good amount of my free time this week as well. I shall keep GYROS up to date and process all orders as often as possible. We no longer have a backlog, so items shouldn't take long to ship out after we receive them. 2-3 Days at most for almost all orders. Thanks guys!

Hey Goomba,

I'm sure you did... but just incase... did you ever follow up on getting a Canadian bank account (even through an American bank?). It may be different for Canadians since everyone wants an American account, but I just set up my American account earlier today (complete with American visa) to avoid stupid 2% fees from Paypal.

No credit card required. Since June 2009 I have gotten $430 in amazon gift cards. Just use it instead of google (because it's the same search engine), and get giftcards for amazon.

RoganSarine, no sadly enough I never did manage to get a Canadian bank account (couldn't find any banks that would do it) so I still have $100+ CAD in Amazon.ca's Marketplace :( bummer. It's very hard apparently to get a Canadian bank account if you're not a Canadian citizen or a student in Canada. I'll figure it out one of these days.

Wizic, as far as I can tell we'll never be getting those items. I'm going to write to their customer service to get a refund. Thanks. Very sorry that they listed items they didn't actually have stocked. Talk to you soon!

Hi Goomba,

Just ordered Red Dead Redemption for PS3 off ebgames.com and put in a DR. Let me know when/if you receive it (damn darksiders ) so I can pay you the shipping fee and gfc fee.

Thanks.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I received nearly 50 (yes 50!) packages today at my UPS store. Needless to say my car is filled to the brim and I will be updating GYROS throughout the weekend to update order statuses. I'm going to a memorial service/funeral tomorrow for my cousin (who unfortunately died recently in a horrific car crash) so I won't be home much tomorrow but I'll be doing my best to get items shipped out in a timely manner. I will update current GYROS tomorrow night as best I can. Thanks again and keep in touch guys :).

** GFC Shipping Calculator Update **

Hey guys, one other thing. In addition to playing catch up with the new 50+ packages that came in today, I'll also start the next major step in updating the DR system. It may seem like a small change, but I will be adding in support for other countries today for the automatic calculation of shipping charges. What this means in layman's terms is that if you live in Australia and put a Direct Request, your order will show you shipping for your country. In the past it would only show estimates for Canada, which lead to a lot of people thinking the shipping would be cheaper than it actually was. The form will be based on a table of multiple shipping prices based on weight and it will figure out your country based on the data you entered when signing up (if you put "Australia" as your country for instance it will load Australian prices). If for some reason you left the country blank then the form will assume you're from Canada. You can always revise your address in the future or manually edit it on the DR page.

More on this soon. Should take roughly a week. I will be updating the list in this order: Australia, Europe, South America, Asia (Japan/Hong Kong/Taiwan/etc.). Thanks guys!

Got back home late today from the funeral/memorial service. It was really sad of course losing a family member like that so tragically, but it was nice seeing much of my family that I haven't seen in ages. I'm working my last day on Day shift at the casino tomorrow 9-5AM but then I'm "free" after that to work on GFC orders tomorrow.

Lots of things going on right now: work, family, lawyer stuff, and now we have to start looking for a new apartment as our contract is coming up on us and we've decided the place we have now just isn't worth it after they've taken away our free heat (the only reason we really moved here 5 years ago). So lots to do. I'll be doing a ton of package processing tomorrow and Monday, especially since I won't start my shift now until around midnight :) Wish me luck guys. Thanks!
