This WAS suppose to be pulled,but doesn't seem like it ever was since I've haven't recently visited a GS that doesn't have at least 1 copy (queens,NY)

All underage porn asside (WHOA..Freudian typo there), this game actually has some fun trivia. It's like that "Street Smarts" gameshow. There's just something about seeing people answer obvious questions terribly wrong that's entertaining. Waiting for the next-gen sequel to go alongside the new Leisure Suit Larry game!

I've never seen this, new or used, in any store i've gone to. bought a sealed ps2 copy for $30 on ebay a few months ago. used ps2 copies normally go for almost $30 online, with sealed ps2 copies normally going for about $70.

i play this game daily....helps me "wake up" in the mornings but my girlfriend hates it which makes me play it more and more!!!!!

I see the xbox version of this everywhere....have also not seen any new ps2 copies (seen 1 or 2 used ps2 copies but they were too expensive imo)...
 
Why would anyone want that game? That's more pathetic than running to the VCR to tape Girls Gone Wild commercials then hiding the tape from your parents/girlfriend/wife. Creepy.
 
I think a few of you are missing the point of the thread. To buy a game that's rare. Yeah, I'm sure the game is crap, but so is College Basketball 2k3 for GC.

Buy it if you're a collector, not if you plan on playing it.
 
Well logically if one is posting on these here forums, one has access to the internet and therefor access to a dearth of real pornography - so The Guy Game has little utility, if any. But at the very least I can understand the allure that rare games have to collectors. Personally I only spend money on games I intend to play and enjoy... but I can grasp the appeal at least. So good find I suppose.
 
The Guy Game really isn't that bad. Like the Virtual Boy, the majority of its bad reputation comes from people that have never played it (like some of the posters in this thread). And yes, we all know we can see naked girls online for free. Guy Game is not supposed to be a substitute for porn...it's just a gimmick to help sell the game.

It's actually a decent party-trivia game with a good presentation and some fun little mini games thrown into the mix. I prefer it to Scene It and that Trivial Pursuit game hosted by Whoopie Goldberg.

Thank you! I'm glad SOMEBODY finally said it. I always find it hilarious when discussions of this game spring up and people immediately take the "OMG..ur a loser if U have 2 play this game to see naked chicks!!!" stance. I'm willing to bet that most of the guys making these accusations would piss themselves if they saw a naked woman, and probably think a breast feels like a bag of sand.

Yes, this game has nudity...so do other games (Leisure Suit Larry, BMX XXX, etc.). So do movies, magazines, and even art for Christ's sake! Anybody buying this game just to see some boobs is either pathetic, or an idiot...or both!

That's not to say that this is a great game, but that's why I bought it for less than $10...and not the $50 it retailed at. I don't play the game every day, and it's not my source for "porn", but I've gotten my $8 out of it. It's still fairly entertaining, and does offer a unique gaming experience. If the game wants to show some dumb co-eds taking off their tops to get attention, all the better. As norkusa said...it's just a gimmick.

Exactly. This is the same reason i bought playboy: the mansion for ps2 as well.
 
I actually played the game and enjoyed it. The game is really fun if you got 3 other friends and you get to laugh at the stupid things the girls will say. Any game that can make you laugh a bunch of times is worth playing at least once

I'd bite if I was guaranteed case/manual/insert... but since I'm not, no. I've been wanting a complete copy for my Xbox collection, but meh. I can't stand adding disc-onlys to my stack of games I've never touched.

personally, i don't understand why the gaming industry is always so hard on games that flaunt any sort of nudity. it seems that such games are automatically derided as pandering to perverts or immorality. the guy game is one more example of the industry over-censoring itself in the name of political correctness. it's the same argument, but it's duly relevant here.

why is it you can have nudity and sex in movies and not in videogames.???

the double-standard is only propagated by the retail stores, which refuse to sell such games. It doesn't help that Sony, MS, and Nintendo also ban AO games.

You'd think for an industry that waves around its manliness in its FPS shooters and war games that it'd have the balls to take on this political tripe.

I'm waiting for the MK equivalent of a game that flaunts sex, booze, and violence like its water. Someone please develop it -- if only to make a statement that the days of this type of social censorship in this industry has come and gone.

Ordered a copy. It's a great drinking game with a group of friends in college. Plus being the collector item that it is, I could justify the 17 bucks.
 
I don't care much for collectors' short-term "investing" so we all have different feelings on the matter.

As for The Guy Game, anyone that's played this game knows it's all about the boobs and the humor of watching stupid girls exploiting themselves. The "trivia" game is a joke. Very little of it is the player answering trivia questions. Most of the time you'll be guessing what answer the girls give to trivia questions. yeah...The only way to know that is trial and error. You have to repeat the game many times and memorize who said what to compete in the game and unlock the good stuff. It's a pretty annoying 10+ hours, but after you invest that time, you are rewarded and honestly if you bought the game for what it is, I don't know how you couldn't be satisfied. I've seen a couple Girls Gone Wild videos and I'd prefer to watch porn. But this game is fun and has remained in my library since I bought it. The half-time skee-ball type mini-game is decent to boot.

As for AO games in general, I don't know why companies don't try making two versions of a game. AO for select retailers and M-rated for mass release.

Also, for all the people that still need that under aged nudity fix then may I point you to Blue Lagoon and Fast Times at Ridgemount High....
 
LOL, there were 7 PS2 copies or so in stock and now there are none. I guess this thread worked then because there are no more PS2 or XBOX copies online.

Ehhh, my opinion, without having played it (unfortunately), is that the game looks goofy and morbidly interesting. Like, yes, you probably have better ways to find porn, but you still can't... resist... checking... Guy... Game...

I mean, we're [guy] gamers here. I think the FIRST thing people should say is "PORN + GAME??? KICKASS!!!" Though I don't necessarily think this is the best way to objectify women (stupid coeds? Hasn't that been done to death and beyond???).

Why does the GUY GAME get so much flak???? Is it the presentation or the nudity??? Or that they're attempting this?
