CAGcast #125: Everything is Broken

You're right. But you see many people forget what kind of marriage this game is between the creater of final fantasy, the composer of Final Fantasy and the artists/creater of Dragonball Z.
I am also upset with all the people who say "duuuh who wants to play a remake duuuuuuuh". Very simple. Unless you want to play the PSX version that has extremely looooong load times or can find an original SNES copy of the game for less than 60 bucks WITHOUT the box an manual (The complete set can go anywhere from 90-150 bucks) from ebay or anywhere else I suggest you shut the up (aimed at the whiners). Chrono Trigger is one of the best if not THE best RPG ever made. I have played this game as a ROM 10 years ago and never finished it. Then bought the PSX version of this game 5 years ago and still haven't finished it because it si such a long game. The game is made of pure quality unlike a lot of RPGs lately I have seen. On top of that this is a remake for a Moble console that I am sure everyone has. So how can you go wrong? I may be a fanboy of this game but I alway see the other side of the story to which I simply say, if you don't like/want a remake of this game then please get back in line and wait for something better to come out.
A few years ago a dude tried to make his own homebrew remake of this game in 3D graphics. The attempt was wonderful until Square Enix shut it down. This however sparked a large interest in a remake and I am guessing this has been in development since.
Since this game is a handheld port I can't wait to get my hands on it and maybe end my 10 year quest to finally finish this game given that I will be able to take it everywhere.
Right on man. If anything, the remake is to test the level of interest in the franchise and a great showing will bring forth a new Chrono game. Hell, we might even get a 16-bit remake as a downloadable game!
....yeah I know, that's not happening.

Edit - Correction... Just talked to my wife (of course she remembers these things a bit better than me). Our last one wasn't at 0 station until after she started pushing. He wasn't at any station during the entire labor (until the very end) - even hours after they broke her water (which usually makes them fall into 0 station). So, point is, your wife ought to have an easy time of it. It means your baby does not have a giant head like mine did .

Im pretty sure that wombat said that Bioshock was a new IP yet it is based off of system shock. Probably just a messup or something. Great show guys keep them coming.
Would you call Halo a sequel to Marathon?

Would you call Halo a sequel to Marathon?
I'd put them both under the term pseudo-sequels since they're not directly connected but contain gameplay or story elements which connect. So techincally you're both right.

As much as I want to agree with Dennis Dyack, he has forgotten an early schoolyard lesson: bullies love picking on younger kids because they find a way to get their attention and then they do it over and over again just for amusement. Because of Dennis' repeated attempts to cry foul when anything bad is said about Too Human, he attracted the attention of all modern-day Internet "bullies" to continue attacking him if only because they know they'll get a reaction out of him.
Rather than let the early criticism go, he has tried at every turn to quiet down the haters and instead has caused the opposite effect. To use another similar example, Bioshock had some bad buzz early on and rather than respond Ken Levine stayed quiet and his game released to both a critical and commercial success.
Finally to our dear Wombat, can you please get off your soapbox once ina while and do some research before making your Wom-rants? In your latest Wom-rant on Rock Band 2 if you took the time you would have learned the new RB2 instruments are the same as RB1 just with a new coat of paint. I am all for taking a hard line but please make sure you know the facts before your next Wom-rant, thank you!
I found much of Dyack's comments valid and observations true, but in forums like neo-gaff, everyone's an expert and has an opinion. In that arena of thought, no sense of precidence or heirarchy - the most obnoxious and short comments will get read (or those with the biggest gif images - jeeze, thorbon). His point was correct - but the audience is wrong.
...and if rockband2 is a "repaint", why bother? The new instruments are are all improved and will hopefully last longer than the first version.

And I also dropped what I was doing (at work) and gave John a hand. Sadly no one was around to join me.
