I liked the anti-Bush stuff, and the anti-Jonas brother/rediculous religious band stuff. I hated pretty much everything else.

It seemed like they didn't go all of out the way they used to. It was a very small venue, poorly produced ...it just seemed low budget all around.

They don't show the most interesting parts... they had Travis Barker drumming with DJ AM and people doing some cool, different versions of songs and they give you 20 seconds of it... they don't know what the Fuck they are doing.

Whats weird is that I am in MTV's demographic (17) and the only shows I think are any good are Runs House and... do they have any other shows? I used to watch that high school stories show, but it was too fake for my tastes.

They should bring back "I Bet You Will!" where they paid people ridiculously low amounts of money (around $15) to drink a glass of their own sweat.

I don't even know what the hell they play on MTV. Thankfully Comcast moved the music channels up on the listings to an area where I never go. Let's see what's on now - Exposed, Exiled, The Hills, The Hills again, what the hell is this shit? And wtf does it have to do with music?

I guess I'm just old now - 22 is far too old to watch this shit.

Russell ButF*** Brand or whatever he is sucked ass. I have taken shits with more personality that his unfunny pampas ass was.

I think he tried so hard to be funny he was ridiculous.

Then I agree it was poorly produced rehearsed you name it they sunk it! --- and no I didn't watch much of it my wife still watches the dog crap.

I didn't think MTV still played videos. Oh that's right. They play videos on their "sister" channel MTV2. I've not watched MTV since they (brace yourselves) took of Headbanger's Ball. Sheesh am I old....

Back in the 80's *cough* *gasp*, they had VERY good rotation with great metal and hard rock from everyone across the spectrum (that were big enough to have a video of course), but some buttsnot got a brilliant idea to "temper" the metal music and relegate it to shows at night or in small blocks... the "one metal video an hour" rule really sunk them in my eyes. Not to mention I didn't get to bone Martha Quinn. ;)

Of course the programming of HBB got silly too... stuff that wasn't really in the genre crept in so they could tell the labels "hey, we played it X times, now give us our payola"... and the insistence on missing the listening trends of its core metal audience gave them nothing but a steaming pile of crap for 3 hours on Saturdays.

*sigh* I hate getting old ;)

"Don't make me use my stuff on ya, baby."

Until they need another place for reruns of The Hills and America's Next Top Model marathons...MTV4 don't fail us now!
