Figured HDTVs would be a popular choice this year with some possible extraordinary deals, so here ya go. I'll be adding more ads as I get them, and I'll be adding model numbers and reviews to the thread as I can.

If ya steal this, at least link back and give credit. That's all I ask for.

I have been following this pretty closely on Slickdeals, so I am glad to have a thread here on CAG as well.

I was really hoping for some better 32" prices, preferably between $300-$400. However, BB, CC, Fry's and other large retailers ads still haven't come out yet.

the sharp is a very good deal considering its a 1080p set. Too bad i just bought ia sony 46in bravia last week for like 1100

What a perfect thread. An HDTV is pretty much the only thing I plan on getting this black friday (besides random dvds and maybe a game or two).

Nice thread -- I'll definitely have an eye on this one, since I really need my own HDTV.

I'll bet that Fry's will have some particularly good Black Friday HDTV deals, but it may not be worth it because people love to camp out at that place.

Literally. Like, tents and shit.

Fry's is as close as you will get to hardcore nerd heaven. So yeah.

Good job on the thread so far, as I have been wanting to pick up an HDTV this year. I was thinking 32", but might be able to pick up a 37" or 42" for a fairly reasonable price. Hoping

Yeah i guess the samsung 32" is a pretty good deal, $500 is pretty much my limit, i was kind of hoping for at least 37" though.

Thanks for the heads up.

Would you mind including Blu ray players in this thread OP, or should a new thread be made for that?

I can do that. Give me until tomorrow night, and I'll have some reviews up for the TVs already listed.

Do ya'll just want BD players, or all 1080p DVD units as well?
Do you know what model? I don't see it on their site.
Nope just seen it in the recent ad though sorry.

OP i'm looking for a HDTV this year too for blackfriday... GREAT thread however i'm looking for 120hz so can you please note when the tv's are 120hz as opposed to 60hz or 24hz? Thanks

BTW i'm looking for a 37'-42' LCD TV 1080p and 120hz between $700-$900. If any one sees one please let me know thanks! I've already seen a couple for the $1100 and hoping they drop more on BF

The AAFES ad is available, and I plan on putting that up soon.

I am looking for a job at the moment, so it may not happen today or tomorrow.

AAFES has a Samsung 42" inch Plasma for $699.00 and a Sharp 32" LCD for $499.00

Where is that and how do I buy :bouncy:

I am pretty sure you have to be active or retired military to shop there. But I could be wrong.

Hopefully there will be some other vendors besides Sears doing 52" TV's on BF. I remember CC and BB both did some good deals on 52" sets last year, and I'm looking to move upwards to 52" from 37" on my main TV.

$2099 is only $200 off Sears' current price on the LN52A650, and it's not as cheap as some online vendors like Newegg.com with the current day's pricing.

Well i'm seeing some 32" TVs at walmart for less than $500 at normal prices, so i'm guessing those will probably be about $400 on BF. Hopefully i can get a 37" for around $500.

That is correct.
The 42" Samsung for $699 would have been a better choice to post from the Kmart ad.
You're probably right, but this was actually in response to someone who said they were hoping for a 32 inch that was 'in the 300-400 range.' This TV at $399 meets their hopes:)
How hard is it to actually snag these TVs on black friday amidst all the frenzy?
With what has been listed so far you could just stay home and order from Amazon...
How are the Vizio televisions? I'm thinking about going to Sears and picking up the 37" for $699.99.
Good, so long as you don't buy one from Wal-Mart.

I'm not sure if Wally Vizios are still lesser quality than Vizios sold elsewhere

I think you are correct. For example I read that Sony sells special models at Wal-mart. I saw some specs last time and the contrast ratio on the sets on display were low, like 5000:1 and so on.

I wanna buy a 50" 1080p Flat-panel, probably a Panasonic plasma.
