Anyone know how to transfer the data from my 20gb HD to my 120? Do I use a memory card and a data transfer kit?

I imagine the only games I'll really care about out of this list would be my main MP games (Gears of War 2, Call of Duty:WaW, etc.) and any/all RPGs I dive into.

It is nice, however, to go ahead and see how to manage the space you have left on your HDD to fit in whatever game(s) - so thanks for doing this list. I may have to stick this in my sticky thread once I make appropriate changes for the NXE update.

I just want to thank everyone who has contributed so far. I'm curious myself about Lost odyssey. I'm guessing 26.2GB :) I have the game...if only i had the NXE preview :(

I'd check Lost Lost Odyssey, but I don't have it.

I was curious if it'd work so I tried the Compilation disk that came with my 360 Arcade - it's surprisingly huge at 5.9 GB, but does install.

It's gonna wreck the format of your list, but here it is in case you want to add it.

Xbox Live Arcade Compilation Disc (Pac-Man CE, Uno, Boom Boom Rocket, Feeding Frenzy, Luxor 2): 5.9 GB

3 discs. If they used all the disc space, it could easily be closer to 30. Great thread!

But now I'm ready for D/P, excited and terrified. It's going to eat so many hours of my life.

Thanks. Any chance the compilation disc has a volume #? That would be a lot easier than listing the games :)

Those Multi-Disk RPGs are going to be absolutely inefficient. Those disks are roughly 85% Maps/World/Monsters/Etc., and 15% Campaign.

Essentially, you're installing the same maps and all 3-4 times, and having it take up all that space for only a small amount of campaign in comparison.

Microsoft should seek to make this more efficient.

It would likely require the devs releasing a patch...because they would have to rework the entire game across every disc. Personally, i'll be using this feature for games that thrash my DVD drive and/or have long load times.

The burger king games are xbox 1 games that run in the 360 via a emulator. Which is why they wont work on the HD Installs. No Xbox 1 game does. All the BK games work on xbox 1.

I have around 40 360 games including lost oddysey but im not in the NXE preview even tho i signed up for it. Id love to use the leaked installer, but i still play the COD5 beta online.

I just dropped off the games listed below to my buddy so he can get us the install sizes.

Civilization Revolution: 6.3 GB
Dead or Alive 4: 6.8 GB
Fracture: 4.1 GB
Lego Batman: 6.0 GB
Lego Indiana Jones: 4.4 GB
Marvel Ultimate Alliance: 5.9 GB
Prey: 5.0 GB
Quake 4: 5.9 GB
Soul Calibur IV: 5.9 GB
Too Human: 6.2 GB
Unreal Tournament III: 6.4 GB

I'll update the amounts when he gets them to me. Also, I didn't think Splinter Cell Conviction was out yet.

The BK games probably do not allow this feature due to the fact they were "dual" platform games. If you all remember the discs worked in the 360 and had achievements etc. But also those games could be played in the old original Xbox as well. Since old Backwards compatible games wont be allowed to be installed and these games (sorry to say it but it's true) they are kinda crappy and not worth making the install to the HDD possible.

Do you need the original disc in the Xbox to play off of the HD?

Yes it wont run except right at first so that LIVE can verify you actually own the game still. Once it does that initial run up of the drive (I have heard it's like 2 seconds) that's it and then the system is whisper quiet.

It's probably smart on MS's part so that people don't borrow a friend's game and rip it to the HD but I was hoping to be able to do that...

Did the installation insert all of the demos in your games list like the disc does?

I'm glad to see this feature. I'll dump a few of my daily favorites on the HDD so I don't hear that jet engine of a DVD-ROM the entire game. UT3 is probably one of the worst for drive noise.

Check the Target Clearance thread. Some stores have them for $125.98 and may get a little cheaper.
