Trading DVDs in San Antonio, Texas

I just recently moved to San Antonio, Texas and I'm looking for the best place to trade DVDs, preferably toward the purchase of new Blu Rays. I used to trade at Moviestop which was a fantastic deal and with the lack of MS around here, I think my trading days are over, at least for the mean time.

I'm just looking for a place that sells Blu Rays (I'd like to find a place that sells new ones for a decent price but I won't be picky) and accepts trades for regular DVDs. I think Hollywood Video is my only hope right now, unless someone else in the area has a suggestion. Thanks.

Movie Trading Company is the way to go. I have one in Lewisville TX, and they give decent tradein values and have new and used blu-rays at lower than retail. I just googled it and there might be one operating under Blockbuster Trading Company at Bandera Road and Loop 410. I hope this helps.

Dude, you rock. I really didn't think I'd get a response that was so region specific. Anyway, looked up Blockbuster Trading Company where you said it was and sure enough, Google Maps is showing that it's only 8 miles away. I'm going to have to check it out once I have a day off from work. Thanks again.

There's a chain of stores around here called CD Exchange; they have used CDs/DVDs/Blu-Ray and even some games. Go to Google Maps and see if there's one near you, it looks like there's quite a few in the SA area.

Half Price Books also buys DVDs, but I don't know if you'll get as good a deal as CD Exchange (I've never personally traded in DVDs at either place). Not sure if they sell blu-rays or not, but they give you cash so it's irrelevant anyway (you can just get the cash from the and buy blu-rays cheap from somewhere else).

Well no one seems to come to this thread, but I just found out yesterday that CD Exchange buys/sells games. I saw Godfather 2 for $29.99.

There were also a bunch of old sports games for like $10 so I guess it's hit or miss.

Well we have this thread as well (seems like it'd be more appropriate for discussing general deals and such), but overall it just seems like us SA CAGs are a quiet bunch. Wouldn't hurt to give it a shot, though.

Haven't seen many deals myself as of late, as I haven't really been hitting up any stores (because I'm broke).

Nice, thanks for the link to that thread.

I've been trying to hit up Blockbusters for the B1G1, so I can try and obtain Fight Night Round 4. Can't seem to locate any of the games that are listed for it though. Bummer.

The two Blockbusters I visited recently (the one by South Park Mall and the one by the Wal-Mart off of 410 and Rigsby) were almost empty when it came to games, and the ones they had were not even worth remembering (mostly last gen stuff, though they did have some current gen stuff that were things I mostly already owned). This was like about a month ago though, so I don't know how much has changed since then.
