Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band - Peripherals

Hey folks,

I got sick of searching all over google and getting contradictory info, so here goes:

I'm playing rock band and guitar hero on ps2 (too cheap to upgrade to next gen). I plan to get GHWT for PS2 with the new fancy wireless guitar that redoctane/activision just put out, and I'm wondering if rock band (1&2) support it. Thanks!

Strange how the PS3 Rockband Guitar is compatible with PS3 World Tour but on the PS2 they are not cross compatible
