What's on your GameCube game library?

Achuba Nanoia

CAGiversary!
Like the title says, what do you have?

Ever since I got my Nintendo Wii, I've started to buy some GameCube games to play on it because of how much fun they are for such little cost. I already bought quite a few, and would like to share it with you guys. We all have our recomendations, but what do you actually have and play? Well, here's my list, with a picture as well:

picture.php

Sorry about the quality of the image btw :p.

As for the games, I currently own:

- Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
- Freedom Fighters
- F-Zero GX
- Time Splitters
- Killer 7
- Metroid Prime
- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
- Mega Man Anniversary Collection
- P.N.03
- Pikmin 2
- Resident Evil Remake
- Robotech: Battlecry
- Sonic Mega Collection
- Sonic Gems Collection
- Starfox Adventures
- Star Wars: Bounty Hunter
- Star Wars: Rogue Leader
- Zelda: Wind Waker

My best find so far is Metroid Prime -->> almost finished through it, haven't played 2 yet, and F-Zero GX: brutal racing game, but that's what makes it so rewarding!

My 2 regrets so far are Resident Evil: Remake (paid a lot for it, and not as fun as I remembered back in the PS1, even if it does look nice) and Killer7, which I got for a bargain, but I didn't like the game so much, I've stopped playing halfway through, and probably won't be back.

I purchased my gamecube in March 2008 and been collecting since...

picture.php

The backlog is packed up in boxes right now, but it has grown since the picture was taken. I still need about 4 "rare" titles (PSO+, DDR Mario, 2k3, and Pokemon Box) for me to be content in collecting.

First game I played on gamecube was Giest and it had me wanting more when I completed the game.

-Megaman Anniversary
-Metroid Prime
-Metroid Prime 2
-TLoZ:Windwakwer
-TLoZ:Collector's Disc
-Donkey Konga
-Gameboy Player
-Super Smash Bros.
-Cubivore

That's pretty impressive!

I really would like to have such a collection, but being as money is pretty tight here, I try to only buy things that I'm sure I'll will play.

I'll post a pick later, but my collection includes the basics, plus a few quirks such as all of the Donkey Konga games and Ikaruga.

I've sold off a good portion and will continue to pare it down over the next month, as I'm not so much a collector, and need to clear out some stuff.

I stopped "collecting" because I never get to a Gamestop when they have their sales and now they have nothing left. I need Donkey Konga for sure, and RE4. I have about 45 games and need to see what else I need before they become impossible to find.

I've had my GC since about a month after Launch, so this has been a slow build. :)

My GC collection used to be my biggest but in the past 2 years, I think I've bought like 5 or 6 GC games. After collecting GC games pretty much all of last gen, it became harder and harder to find the uncommon games (still looking for a PSO I&II Plus and a few others) and I became more drawn to my PS2 collection, not to mention the new consoles/handhelds which sucked away even more money.

This is the bulk of my collection. The only things not pictured are the 2 extra BK bongos but they're not really games anyways. Everything is fully complete of course. I keep the big boxed items (Donkey Konga, Jungle Beat, and DDR Mario) elsewhere, I only put them there for the pictures.
Clipboard01-1.jpg

This is my hidden stash, games which hold a fair amount of value or games which I think will increase greatly in value in the future. (Ignore Psychonauts, it's just here as part of the stash as are quite a few un-pictured PS2 games.) The games are held in plastic protectors, which I heard about from phear3d. Some of the games from my bulk (like my sealed RE4 tin) should be in here too but they're too big to fit in the shelves. Pikmin 2, one of the Zelda CEs, ToS, and FE PoR are sealed.

I think i have the fx zero one, but I gotta find it :/

Vinny's picture reminded me that I need to find Midway Arcade Classics 3 for GC.

I have something like 40 GC games but other than the aforementioned arcade compilation, I think I'm done. If I can find cheap copies of the Star Wars Jedi Knight/Academy games on Gamecube I'd probably buy them but that's unlikely.

What if Pikmin 2 becomes wii-ified?

My

My Gamecube collection is not much since I never had a Gambecube and just got a Wii last summer. A friend of mine had one and I still got to experience some great titles though.

So far I only have these:
TLOZ - WW
Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem(remember my friend got this the day it came out and we were blown away by this one!)
Metriod Prime

I still want Metriod Prime 2, TLOZ Collectors edition(because I love the original and orcana plus never got to play Majora's Mask), Pikimin 2(though waiting to see if the wii version is good), MGS TS, Killer 7, SSBM, and Star Wars Rebal Assault 2.

Never had a GC, but got a Wii a couple of years ago and started collecting GC games. So far I have:

Baiten Kratos
Tales of Symphonia
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Eternal Darkness
Mario Golf
Mario Baseball
Super Smash Bros Melee
Chaos Field
Pikmin 1 & 2
Skies of Arcadia Legends
a few more I cant remember

I havent actually played any of them yet tho. LOL!

All mint or near mint condition (disc, manual, all original inserts and case). I'm a detrimentally picky SOB.

You guys all have killer collections. I'm really finicky with overall condition, so I don't have a gigantic set, but you still have to recognize folks like Achuba Nanoia. That is absolutely sick.

Since I purchased a PS3 a couple of months ago I have been shipping these off via trades, ebay, and goozex. From the ~40 quality games I once owned, all that remains are these 3 sad lonely games:

Battalion Wars
Enter the Matrix
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003

My whole collection, besides two games not listed, I bought new. No one wanted a Gamecube so most of those games were bought between $5-$15 new.

All good games except Finding Nemo and Burnout 2. Finding Nemo came with the GC when I bought it off craigslist and I never got rid of it. Burnout 2 I bought at GS thinking it would be as fun as Burnout 3. I was wrong.

My GameCube collection is definitely not complete as I need to get the rest of the Splinter Cell series, Auto Modellista, and some odd balls like Dr. Muto, Vexx, and Scaler. I am not looking to get a complete GameCube collection. I keep the games I like and sell the ones I do not like. I got my purple GameCube in January 2002 and did not own a Xbox or PS2 until 2008 so the GameCube was my primary console last generation. I love the Wii backwards compatibility!

For the sake of getting rare games, the ones to look out for are...

-NCAA Basketball 2K3 by Sega (still unknown amount reached market, but could very well end up being the rarest Gamecube Game). Sega gave up on the 2K sportsline with the Gamecube the day before this shipped and actually did not ship most of the copies out. I got mine in Seattle the day of Wrestlemania 19 when I went to the mall and asked if they had one at EB Games... they did, having never put the copy out originally. I got it for 0.01.

-Pokemon Box (One of the rarest Nintendo-published games out there)... make sure you get the red & blue memory card that goes with it plus the oversized box.

The Following games go for a lot on Ebay but are NOT rare...

-Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix
-Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition

BTW, the Kiosks discs aren't going for a lot now, but in 20 years I'll bet they fetch at least between $50 to $100 a piece.

Here's my collection
Wow... I still think it's lame to collect games you will never play or don't want to play.
Collect stamps/coins you'll never use. Action figures you'll never play with.

SurvivorCharlie, do you have an actual GC Kiosk? :D

No. Don't really care to either. I'm strictly a game collector for the most part. There are a few exceptions. A few Nintendo related toys from Japan, the occasional promotional display. I also have the Kiosk Donkey Konga drums with the brace, but otherwise no major hardware.

My ideal Nintendo kiosk would be the old NES one they had in Sears back in the day.

And rag on me all you want for having a bunch of games I would 'never want to play.' I've played every single Gamecube game I own. Some for a few minutes, others for months, but every one is used.

It's a better hobby then, say, collecting baseball cards. Well known fact that collecting baseball cards if you're over 18 makes you a homosexual. If you're a child, they are cherished pictures of your heroes. If you're an adult, they're pictures of MEN!

Awesome game library! And I agree with you, collecting games is just like collecting whatever other object you fancy, except you usually can enjoy it more!

Thanks for the kind words from most.

My complete game collection will be listed at Gamefaqs shortly. It will take me a while.

What I have listed is at...
http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/mygames/index.html?user=SurvivorCharlie

Not even remotely close to finished. The only systems that are currently listed in full are Gamecube, Wii, N-Gage, DS, and X-Box 360, plus some of my imports for various systems and the start of my NES collection.

Compared to everyone elses list, mines is kind of bare:

Baten Kaitos (the first game)
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Sonic Gems
Resident Evil 4
Tales of Symphonia
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Legend of Zelda Wind Waker
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance

Entire Resident Evil Series (remake is a work of art, original is still my favorite game ever).
Eternal Darkness
Animal Crossing
Pikmin 1 and 2 (2 is still sealed)
Prince of Persia trilogy (Sands is another work of art, don't care much for the others)
Paper Mario (only rpg I've ever been able to play)

Here are others that don't interest me that much, have more but can't remember them
Metal Gear Twin Snakes (can't stand the MGS series)
Killer 7 (still sealed)
Donkey Konga
Jungle Beat (got both for $10 each with bongos, got for wife)
Wind Waker (still sealed, debated on opening it to play)
Mario Sunshine
Zelda Collectors Edition
Viewtiful Joe

Haha I just remembered I also have a Naruto Clash of Ninja 2 demo disc. Wonder how rare that one is?

I also remember buying Star Wars Rebel Strike from EB, only to get home and find out it was the preview disc rather than the actual game. That was annoying, mitigated only by the fact that I found a mint, complete copy of the real game a few weeks later at the same store.

1.Super Smash Bros Meelee
2.Pokemon Colosseum
3.Animal Crossing
4.Soul Calibur 2
5.Mortal Combat Deadly Alliance
6.Sonic Mega Collection
7.Resident Evil Zero
8.Donkey Konga

Looking online, 4000 copies were distributed. Unfortunately, I found nothing concrete on it's worth, but I doubt it's highly sought after. Maybe for collectors, but Idk. I also have this disc, btw.
