good luck, your best bet may be to try and find somebody to loan you one if you pay shipping both ways, ive seen people on here doing that, i would loan you mine but i allready sold it on ebay, sorry
 
I say call up M$ and complain until they send you one. I've heard of it working before. Don't suppose you're willing to sell/trade the 3 month for anything else? you can CML if you want.
