Is Mercenaries for PS3 worth it at $18?
Birdman is not on sale for the wii, it's for the PS2.
It was.
I picked up Zoids. I am afraid $9 may have been too much; However, it was shipped for that price.
I hope this game is in better shape than the last one I ordered. I wish family video had the prices and manuals like GF but kept their used game condition/quality level.

I picked up Zoids when it was deeply discounted by them over the holidays--very solid game, IMO, and way over bashed. It's a neat strategy game in that, unlike so many SRPGs, you can't simply power level a single character or two... you really need to use your entire time to succeed. Strongly recommended for this price.

hmm I've been eying MLB 2k8 since I have no real need to have the latest cuz I could jsut as easily update the roster myself

Pondering Zoids Assault. At 10, it's an almost instant purchase. Have to think about this one...

EDIT: 17.99 used at Gamestop. With a 25% off coupon (assuming they ever run those again, or they increase from 20% to 25%) it would be 11.70, tax free with my credit. I think I'll wait on it, especially since I have credit.

Perseverance has won for me. Zoids has been on sale at Gamefly and Amazon on and off since the holidays for between $11 and $20 and as tempting at those prices as it was , my gut told me it would go lower. Don't think it'll go much lower than this for a while so I'm in for 1.

Now if only the same perseverance hold won for Birdman. Picked that up last year from gamefly when it first went on sale for $20. Then watched for months as it kept dropping lower and lower.:bomb:

i saw this in my email early this morning. was going to post it here, until i saw the prices werent all that great, and the prices that were good were on shitty games.

but while im here, might as well add one i saw.

facebreaker (ps3/360) $12.99

Hmmm, a lot of people interested in Zoids, and an endorsement from a couple of CAGs. I was already on the fence about it, so I might have to take the plunge. I got a $5 coupon I was saving in hopes that they would ship me RE5, but they didn't. So, I might just pick up Zoids for a few bucks. Not a bad deal, in my opinion.

And thanks to crazyz for copying and pasting the list from the e-mail. I was in a rush before...plus my e-mail reflects the 10% discount. It has been added to the OP.

Not their best sale. Some of these prices are higher than their Christmas sale - Iron Man, Quake wars, Vampire rain were all 9.99 last time.

I'm a Zoids fan, but even I didn't buy the game beforehand. Bought a copy though as I had a $5 coupon to use. 4.70 for the game is just my price, its can't be that bad, right?

whole lot of blah
Thinking of Mercs2 as well.....never played it, but I enjoyed the first one on PS2. Anyone else like this game?
IMO, the first one is actually better (I enjoyed it much more) than Mercs 2. $18 is too high a price for this game. I consistantly see this going for $13-15 or so and thats for brand new copies (on the 360). Just keep your expectations low for this one.

Lego Indiana jones for the ps2 or Alone in the dark for the ps2 and I have another $5 off coupon..might have to bite

Harvery Birdman was the only game worth it on the list.

Granted I am very tempted by Guilty Gear 2 because I still haven't seen a new copy in B&M stores for under $39.99.

Hmmm these games are good but not really looking to add these to my collection right now. I still have so many better games to go thru at the moment. If anything chances are these will also be made available at the end of the year sale they have.

Gotta agree with Akira119 on this. Mercs 2 is one of those rarer video game sequels that doesn't improve over the first. The first one was a pleasant surprise; this second game is a rushed cash-in. The foundation laid by the first game is still intact, so Mercs 2 isn't a total loss. But the sheer amount of glitches will make you think twice. I got my copy for $10 at Best Buy and that's really the limit of what I'd pay for it.
