Apparently there is a free month of Vanguard that started on 5/29. I am a former player, but never got an email about it... I just happened to start the Station Launcher and saw that I had 21 days remaining on the game.
There is a thread on the official forums here: http://forums.station.sony.com/vg/posts/list.m?topic_id=47811 but I'm not sure if you need to own the game, have been a subscriber, just have a Station account, or what. The game is like 20 gigs, so downloading might be kind of rough if you don't have it already.
