The reviews are looking good so far. The person who reviewed the game from Gaming Nexus had this to say about it:

You may think I'm crazy, but Pinball Hall of Fame: The William Collection is easily one of the best games on the Xbox 360. This game not only recreates 13 of the best pinball machines of all time, but it also offers some of the best pinball physics around. Pinball Hall of Fame is not to be missed!

Gaming Nexus - "A"
IGN - 8.5
Hardcore Gamer Magazine - 4 out of 5
Giant Bomb - 4 out of 5
Team Xbox - 9 out of 10
GameSpot - 8

If it helps you at all. I'm sure the Pinball Hall of Fame game will be a prettier version of whats already out there for the PS2, Wii, etc and those games play GREAT! I couldn't get into Pinball FX after playing the Hall of Fame series.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear.

I just got my shipping confirmation from Amazon and I'm really looking forward to playing this. I also updated the OP with some reviews.

Anyone else picking this up?

Yeah I got my shipping confirmation today as well. Love it for Wii and can't wait to try and get the achievements in this version, plus the new tables and HD graphics!

Got it, rules as expected. The additional tables are great. My only complaints is you can't access the online leader boards unless you back out to the main menu. Why not have them at the table? Also on the leader boards there is no option to view a "friends" leader board. I've never seen a 360 game without this option. That is pretty stupid. Also you can't toggle between your score and the top score. Again I've never seen a 360 game that doesn't have that ability.
Basically your getting a prettier version with more tables. Same insanely great physics and gameplay.

I finally got the game in today and just spent about three hours playing it. I've mainly played the older tables. I started out by completing the basic goals on Gorgor, Firepower, and Black Knight. I'm currently working on trying to get the extra ball goal in Sorcerer. I tried No Good Gofers just for fun and wow that table is crazy.

So after spending three hours with it, I highly doubt I'll be going back to Pinball FX anytime soon since this game blows that one straight out of the water.

I really hope Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection gets enough support so the developers will release some DLC tables. I'd be more than happy to buy them.

I picked this up last week, game is awesome. Loads of fun to play and they've got the ball physics bang on.

I got it the same week Pinball FX was 400 points, after playing both I couldn't bring myself to pay even $5 for FX.

Hopefully they fix the horrible leaderboards (no friends list, or sortable, can't view except at the main screen) we can add fellow CAGs for high score battles.

Yeah, the leaderboards blow, but other than that I'm really satisfied with this, especially because I somehow got two ECA discounts to stack...23 bucks and change! Great game so far, just wish I didn't mostly suck at pinball. Managed to get the Gorgar achievement on my first play of the table at least. Highly recommended to anyone even remotely interested in this kind of game.

Unfortunately I bought Pinball FX last week. Fortunately it was only 5 bucks. Unfortunately I bought two of the add-on tables for it. Fortunately those are the only reason I'll play it again.

On a related note, I wish the icon in my sig below didn't look so much like the Pinball FX one.

I hope this game sells well and we either get additional DLC machines or a new version or, better, both. A "The Bally Collection" would be nice as would lots more Williams games as DLC. So, yeah, buy it!

man I need to find some trade-ins for this. I sold my wii and the wii version of this. I need this game, but paying 40 in cash for this when I already paid only 20 bucks for it a a year and half ago just doesn't seem right.

Woohoo! - I'm #11 on Whirlwind at the moment ("crunc is"). I don't think I have the patience to do any better, though. The top score is ludicrous - *that* had to take a LONG time. Whirlwind is *way* easier compared to a real one. Too easy. I still need to complete the wizard goals on it because in that game I finished the basic goals and you can't get the wizard goals until the next game.

Wow, I just played the Williams Challenge and got to the very last table and lost. That really sucks.

Anyone have any tips on getting the "1-2-3-4 special" wizard award on Gorgar?

*edit*
Some news about the leaderboards from the Pinball Hall of Fame facebook page:

We love your enthusiasm for the game! Thanks for the support and we are definitely putting this on our wish list to get added into this title via an upcoming patch!

I'll be building a pinball controller for the 360 at some point and posting a guide. If I don't do it by the end of the year, somebody please remind me. Damn college keeps me too busy.

Anyone play the original on the XBox or PS2 (the Gottlieb Collection?) Since it's BC I'm thinking about picking it up now that this one has impressed me. Of course it won't look as good but does the play seem similar?

Highest I'm ranked is in No Good Gofers (128)...weird to see BigMes like 3 spots below. Thousands of players and I spot someone I recognize on the same screen. What's annoying is that's been my least favorite table so far, mostly because I can't get a view that I'm 100% satisfied with.

Anyway - anyone who has completed the table challenges on that one - how do you do the skill shot on it? It's not in the instructions/tutorial thing.

KaneRobot, the Gottlieb collection is great. I love them both. It has the same great physics. The only problem on the BC of it I have noticed is on one machine (can't remember which one) the ball gets stuck in some spot.

I have a 3 tables I'm in the top 100. I think my highest is #54 or so.

Ok, cool. No big deal, I still have my OG Xbox hooked up anyway if it really bothers me that much.

God it would rule if they redid the Gottlieb collection for the 360 and added the Rocky machine, and then had a easter egg minigame where you would drunkenly stumble around the arcade and throw a liquor bottle at it.

Any tips on getting the Harem Multiball goal in Tales of the Arabian Nights?

*edit*

Finally got it after trying for almost all day long. I ended up getting it by doing the sneak in three times.

That's the weird thing about playing video TotAN, I can do all of the achievement stuff on the real deal with ease, but on this thing it's an absolute bear.

I got excited about the upcoming Pinball Arcade so I went back and played Pinball Hall of Fame again for the 360 last night. Here are all the tables except for Jive Time which is still locked. Sadly, my game time is broadly split so I don't play pinball much. So I don't know exactly what I have to do to unlock Jive Time. Also, this is a quick play through each of the tables. I didn't do a lot of the cool things that each table offers (especially on tables like Medieval Nights and Tales of the Arabian Nights).

The videos are in 720P but unfortunately because it's Youtube, they were converted to 30 fps videos (Youtube doesn't allow 60 fps videos) which hurts the framerate and smoothness (since the game is 60 fps). Also, Youtube heavily compressed it so sorry for the compression artifacts. And lastly, my antivirus program kicked in for the weekly scan (the worst time to kick in! but then again, I shouldn't have been playing at 2am), and I didn't know until after I was done playing so there were dropped frames and sections in the videos. Gorgar, Space Shuttle, No Good Gofers, and Medieval Madness were most corrupted by the virus scan.

Watch in 720P fullscreen if you can!
