now we're starting to get back into some useful coupons. Haven't bought anything at gamestop in a while, due to the crappy coupons they've been having. But it was probably all for the better, as my gamestops were pretty much picked clean of anything worthwhile.

Why don't you discount 50% off all Dreamcast games too?

All my GS around me stopped carrying Dreamcast games long ago, so that wouldn't do me any good T___T

In the waning hours of this thread here, I have a very serious question:
How is it possible that with the coupon +Edge Hello Kitty Roller Rescue (a steal at 13.99) would still be more expensive than Armored Core 4, GHIII, Stranglehold CE, Rock Band, and all of the other PS3 and 360 games that are regularly 14.99 or less (14.99 games are 13.50 with edge). I'd like to get some GC games but GS needs to get real about the prices of these. Please note Hello Kitty is not one of the games I am interested in, but is perhaps the most absurdly priced game I saw.
Also thought bumping this on the last day it is alive might remind people if they wanted something.

It's just supply and demand. There are thousands and thousands of unwanted copies of games like GH3 and RB1 floating around out there, so the price is lower. A lot of games for an older system like the GC have fewer copies in circulation, because a) they probably produced fewer copies in the first place, and b) most of those copies are sitting on a shelf in someone's home, as part of the permanent collection they aren't going to trade in. So the price is higher. Although I do find it amusing that the highest priced games, like some of the Zelda's, sell for more than the system itself at this point!

If you look on the website they seem to be dropping the price on alot of cube games (slowly but surely). Noticed they dropped Zelda CE to 27.99 along with some others. It seems like they watch ebay for price drops/raises and then after a while when the game gets to a certain steady amount they still stay at the same price even after the demand is gone.

Lots of drops in there.

Picked up Skies of Arcadia: Legends for $11.20 after edge/coupon. Is this game any good?

I find it funny that here in this thread we are having a brief conversation about the economics of video games. KarlMarx comes along and just wants us to know he got a game. Nothing wrong with that, it just made me laugh

You're right. If you're looking for any GREAT deals on GC games, You're better off heading to your local Thrift Store or Yard Sale. In about 5 months, I've scored 4 copies of Zelda: CE/Promo and other HTF GC games which I flipped on Ebay for a pretty good chunk of change. For some reason, I assume Mom has no idea GC games can play on the Wii, so she just gets rid of them.

Yes! It was one of the best games on Dreamcast and some think the GC version is even better. I never see it used in GS, you're lucky!

Picked up the Gamecube Fire Emblem for about $22 after coupon and EDGE. Kinda pricey, but I really wanted it.

Epic. I loved it. One of my favorite RPGs ever. Especially the Gamecube version because they fixed a lot of the bugs the Dreamcast version had.

I just literally laughed out loud. Brilliant observation!
