Here are the prizes for the week of 10/26 - 11/2:
First Prize - Wii Sports Resort (Nintendo Wii)
A brand new version of Wii Sports that offers gamers a day at the beach. This sequel to the popular Wii Sports makes use of the Wii MotionPlus accessory, which gives players the most responsive and realistic experience possible.
Just as with Wii Sports, people will love competing against friends and family. As the competition heats up, Wii Sports Resort is as much fun to watch as it is to play. First-time players will find it easy to pick up a Wii Remote and jump into the action. Wii Sports Resort takes place on a tropical island. A wide range of activities will keep players coming back for one more round. Some sample activities include Sword Play, Power Cruising (racing a water scooter) and Disc Dog, which involves accurately tossing a disc to a cute, Mii-like dog.
Second Prize - Table Tennis (XBox 360)
No guns, no violence, just straight up ping pong from the studio that brought us such games as Midnight Club and Red Dead Revolver. Rockstar San Diego's game takes advantage of the Xbox 360's graphic power and technology to capture the intensity, speed and excitement of Table Tennis. The game features 11 playable characters from around the world, over 15 international arenas and supports up to 8 player tournaments via Xbox Live.
Third Prize - The Red Star (Playstation 2)
Based on the comic book created by Archangel Studios and Christian Gossett, The Red Star is a battle action game that centers on three different main characters. Set in an alternate Russia (URRS) where technology, magic, and futuristic weapons are wielded by its Red Fleet Army, The Red Star begins with Sorceress-General Maya Antares and the search for her missing husband, Marcus. Features included different play styles and abilities from character to character, 10 upgradable weapons, melee combat, and two-person cooperative play.
Fourth Prize - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (Playstation 2)
Following the success of Grand Theft Auto, developer Rockstar North takes gamers on a tour of a new city in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. With new sights, new characters, new (ahem) business opportunities, and even a whole new '80s themed era, players can indulge in more criminal fun than ever before.
Vice City features more expansive locations, and over 120 vehicles ripe for the picking such as exotic cars, motorcycles, luxury yachts and planes. The soundtrack boasts three times the tunes compared to the previous GTA, and features countless '80s hits. Over 40 different weapons ensure effective firepower and provide enough variety for stylish defensive measures (samurai sword anyone?).
