Golden Slumbers (JP 2010) - Surprisingly good, a little bit hokey but strikes a good balance, a good conspiracy fast paced thriller about a man on the run for being framed. Also takes place in Sendai, a place I was just in this past week so I recognized some areas.

Shutter Island - Good.

Vertigo. It was outstanding. Will have to check out more Hitchcock movies--only other ones I'd seen were Psycho and The Birds years ago.

THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE - what the Fuck?!?!?!

I believe this is probably the most sick and twisted movie I have ever seen. The general story is that there is this german christoper walken look alike evil genius that wants to put 3 humans together. Ass to mouth to share one digestive tract. I don't wanna say it sucked because I couldn't stop watching it and it freaked me out big time. It's like the first time you saw "Saw" and the ending left you a bit sick in the stomach. Well, the whole movie makes you feel that way and just gets worse. The acting is horrible except the evil genius (really great, IMO). I was laughing alot in the beginning due to the acting.

If you are looking for a type of movie that just gets you freaked out after watching it, this is it. This is not for the feint of heart because it is just GROSS. Not what they show (gorey but not too much) but just the whole idea of the movie. I haven't been so freaked out over a movie in a long time. Like I said, it's not a bad movie because its a scary movie and this shit delivers. Now, before I finish this post I just want to say...Feed her! Feed her! lol

the sequel is suppossed to use 12 people instead of 3

Out For Justice
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)

Body Snatchers was fucking awesome. Out For Justice was surprisingly not shit too.

By four o'clock I've discounted suicide in favor of killing everyone else in the entire world instead.

The Big Lebowski. I've got to watch that movie again to find deeper meaning in it. Unless there isn't.

Pandorum - Way better than I had expected. I thought it was going to be some knockoff of event horizon, but surprisingly held its own.

Brothers - Didn't know what to expect from this one, but I really ended up enjoying it. Amazing acting from the whole cast, looks like good old Toby can do something else other than play Spiderman.

The Road was pretty good. For some reason it didn't shed a single tear though. I was more baffled pondering the meaning of everybody who had missing thumbs.

Surrogates.

Not an amazing movie, and rather predictable, but it was a fun hour and a half overall. I think I'm spoiled because I happen to be reading Richard K. Morgans Altered Carbon right now, which is like a super-intelligent, much deeper version of surrogates (kinda, at least).

I thought Brothers was horrible, the acting was good but it was just empty and the ending was lackluster at best and left you wondering what the point of the movie was.

Stay Alive - Well it was not exactly an original story. People dying in a video game then dying in real life. Overall it was pretty meh.

Pan's Labyrinth - I enjoyed it, but I was expecting a completely different movie. I thought it would be more along the lines of Labyrinth with David Bowie, just more serious and monstrous. I wasn't expecting all the war stuff to be going on. It kept me interested, but I wish there was more labyrinth and less dickheaded captain.

Snake Eater - 3/5 - Lorenzo Lamas was a marine but now works as a DEA agent. His family gets murdered, sister kidnapped and now he must go save his sister and murder a bunch of backwoods hillbillies. There is a lot of Rambo-esc trap/bomb making which sadly only yields 2 kills. There is a lot of fun to be had with the film's dialog and hillbillies. At one point an older man our hero just meets, takes our hero's bike without his knowledge and turns it into a boat. Yep a motorcycle strapped on to a boat. Why? Well so he can go up stream and seek revenge on hillbillies. Why not rent a boat from the old man? Well that just doesn't make any sense at all. He only runs a marina....

Snake Eaters is a solid 80's action movie with a few ridiculous moments.

Might go see the Jean-Pierre Jeunet film Micmacs this weekend, movie looks so $$$.

Two movies I had never seen before, which is the case with most films I watch:

Cobra: Typical 80's action flick starring Stallone, which means it was FUCKING AWESOME. Stallone may well be my favorite action movie star. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

Oh, and do yourself a favor. Read this: http://www.i-mockery...inimocks/cobra/

Footloose: I watched this due to it being scheduled to be removed from instant watch. I still have terrible flashbacks to my freshman year when my bus driver would play the soundtrack on cassette, on a loop every day for an entire semester. It took me 12 years to recover. 'twas a decent movie, though. Standard 80's teen fare.
