Karate Kid was at least 40 minutes too long it was so-so for me.
I really enjoyed the A-Team action and great humor

Shutter Island - 3/5 - Has some very good cinematography and solid acting. The story has some twists but none of them really shocking or surprising. The story overall was pretty average. i would recommend it for cinematography, those opening shots of the island and the one shot from a helicopter down to the jeep as they drove up to the mental hospital were $$$.

Princess of Mars - 2/5 - Traci Lords on some numbered Mars planet around Alpha Centauri. Some military guy comes from earth to investigate the planet, finds trouble, ends up fighting in some awful action scenes to restore order on the planet. Its a pretty average syfy film. You will have some fun with it but not a classic. I guess you can make a drinking game out of the bad CG + amount of times they show a guy landing from a super jump. You most likely will end up trashed.
Princess of Mars supposedly 'inspired james camerons avatar' which is a pretty awesome box quote...obviously false. The only thing Princess of Mars inspired me to do was look up old Traci Lords vids.

Get Him to the Greek - meh. I can't believe people were saying this is better than the Hangover. The Hangover was funny and tastefully done. I hate when movies try and cram in as much drugs/drinking as possible just to get the "you have to be cool to like it" free card.

And it turns into a drama, not a comedy.

Alice In Wonderland - It was good. Some stuff in it was pretty weird, but I expected that coming from Tim Burton. Any movie with Anne Hathaway in it is automatically good, though.

A Team - 3/5 - CG can be pretty disappointing. If your able to suspend your disbelieve or shut your mind off, you can have some fun with the movie. I don't know when the original A-Team aired but I never watched. Murdock is played by Sharlto Copley, better know as 'the district 9 guy'. He is fantastic. Maybe because I walked in expecting to be miserable and hating every moment of the film...but I laughed a lot at everything his character did for the first 25 minutes of the film.

Rest of the cast is pretty good. Rampage is a little awkward in a few parts since he has not much acting experience. So they make him the comic relief by knocking him out every other scene. There is a lot of laughing at the film instead of with. All the major set pieces you are not told what is planned until they reveal it to you...which is a bit annoying. It allows anything to happen, which does. At one point a villain takes a single RPG into the side of this gigantic fright boat...and pretty much causes 2012.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised about A Team. I was expecting not to have fun and to make fun of the movie the entire time. I did make fun of the film throughout since its pretty ridiculous, but there is some genuine fun to be had. Definitely a great tv/rental movie.

NOTE: There is a stinger at the end of the film w/ the original Face & Murdock incase u do plan on seeing the film.

Alice in Wonderland - It was good kept my attention the whole time and had typical Burton weird stuff and some very cool visuals.

The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines and The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice- These are made for TV movies by TNT and the guy who did Independence Day and does the TNT series Leverage. Basically they are light-hearted homages to Indiana Jones and the pulp action adventure films of the 50's and 60's that inspired Indiana Jones. Main character also kind of reminded me of Nathan Drake from the Uncharted video game series. Made with a very low budget and has some cheesy effects. I was still entertained by both of them and hope another is made.

Actually, it seems the next one will be in theaters. :)

He didn't fail again. The guy is still amidst his first failure. It's just a really long and torturous failure that he is completely oblivious of.

Shrek Forever After - Saw it with a small group of people that helped make it more enjoyable, but really it was shit. Better than the third one, not better than the first 2. Worth it simply for the line 'Then my donkey fell in your waffle hole.' Tell me that isn't one of the greatest conceived pieces of dialogue in cinema history.

Guns - 3/5 - Andy Sidaris strikes again. Like other Andy Sidaris films, Guns has a bunch of playmates as cops in Hawaii. Playmates follow a case to Las Vegas where Danny Trejo accompanies Erik Estrada as evil gun runners who are gonna be put to justice by hot playmates. Oh yea!

As expected from an Andy Sidaris film there is a ton of action, explosions and nudity. There is a lot of fun to be had laughing at the ridiculous people you meet, cross dressing assassins? check. Watching Guns made me remember why I loved Hard Ticket to Hawaii so much. Hard Ticket felt even more ridiculous with a killer snake and a dude getting shot by a rocket while riding a skateboard. Check out Guns for a fun old action film. If you like it watch Hard Ticket to Hawaii...its so damn good.

Silent Movie - Some of the better slapstick ever accumulated in a movie, whether it's tired and overdone or not, it was still humorous. Loved the cameos by the people that were starring in the movie within the movie. Also makes me wish Marty Feldman hadn't died so soon, he was such a great comic character.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

10/10

I had never seen this movie before, but it now ranks amongst the best I have ever seen. I checked it out since I've become interested in westerns because of Red Dead Redemption. Pretty much all I had seen before was some John Wayne movies with my great grandma. Any recommendations?

lolwut? I loved The Hangover, but it was far from tastefully done.

Although the material of the story is not "tasteful" the comedy in it is. There is no real drug, potty, drinking humor... which I always feel is a cop out on real writing.
