Congratulations to the entire CAG community as we beat our goal of $40,000, raising a whopping $42,810! Thanks to all who participated including our great corporate sponsors Play-Asia, Telltale Games (Tales of Monkey Island), Capcom (Dark Void), and Blueberry Muffin Tops Cereal.

In 2008, CAGs raised over $32,000 (up from $27K in 2007) for Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity. This year, let's see if we can hit $40,000 before the year is through.

For every $5 donated via PayPal through the CAG ChipIn system, you will receive one entry into a raffle to win a $500 Amazon Gift Certificate or other great prizes! Last year, the CAG Community donated some really cool and generous prizes and I'm sure the tradition will continue this year. I expect the prize list to grow and grow until the very end of the fundraiser.

You must donate through the ChipIn system or your raffle entry will not register. Use any of the ChipIn links in this post or the widget below. Just click the "ChipIn" button to donate. Donations are accepted via PayPal and go directly to Child's Play. ChipIn tracks our donations as a group, but the money is immediately deposited into Child's Play's PayPal account.

I am so happy to be a part of such a wonderful cause! In a tough year, I'll give as much as I can to those who need it more than I....
 
Did my little part. This is my favorite charity and I have a good feeling the CAG community will pull through this year.
 
Gathering donations from family and friends (non-gamers) to make a large bulk donation later this month.

Do the cash donations get evenly distributed amongst all the hospitals on the map? I actually bought some toys for Vanderbilt Children's yesterday (we live nearby and know some of the staff), but I don't mind spreading the love around. It's a great cause! :)
 
This will be my yearly donation as thanks to CAG for the deals all year long. Thanks CAG and I hope we can raise even more this year than we did last year! =)

I think Cheapy donates $500 or $1000 each year, so he probably is responsible for a big chunk of that
 
Great to see this back again this year Cheapy, it truly goes to a worthwhile cause.

I put in my first $25 matching last year, once I get paid again later this month I'll contribute another $25.

10 in now till I get paid but I just want to add my piece about how important this kind of thing is. This kind of charity puts games into all of the children in these hospitals so they can have something to look forward to on an daily basis. Hospitals blow no matter what age you are and being young with all the noises and weird things going on can be a terrible time. That's why helping to get these kids some modern gaming going is a very important endeavor.
 
I've read about this charity in the past and think it is great. I will definitely get some money in when I get chance. It is great to see this site support it.
 
Just donated $25. I usually donate a few times before it's over. Last year I won a copy of Phoenix Wright from iowaholdem, which was a nice surprise.
 
I'll drop $100 or so, if I contribute a prize do I get elite forum privileges?

I'll also let Goozex and the Goozex Report know CAG is doing this again.

If a bunch of guys playing Mario for 4 days can raise $29,000, a bunch of guys (and ladies) who spend the year saving money on games should be able to at least double that right?
 
Donated a bit now, get my check on friday and I will be chipping in some money from each pay check I get until January.
