Toys R Us DOTD 12/23
Game isnt even worth 10 usd save your money
i concur. it was a huge disappointment for me.
60 bucks is good for 11 footlong subway sandwiches.
Never thought of it like that. I always figured 60 bucks is good for 27 lunches if you get 2 big texas cheesburgers at Jack in the box.
60 bucks is good for 11 footlong subway sandwiches.
Possibly even as a Skateboard Shaped platter for 11 footlong sandwhiches?

For 10 bucks id buy it just to act like an idiot for a few hours. Man this game can only go lower. I wonder how much retailers paid for it and how much activison spent to make it.

I know this isn't exactly related to the original post, but I was wondering if anyone is certain that TRU will be doing the buy one get one 1/2 off on ALL games the week after xmas, instead of just the limited list of games that they are offering right now?
Wait until its 5 dollars like rock revolution
the irony is that this game is actually selling. Dont expect it to drop like rock revolution did.
60 bucks is good for 11 footlong subway sandwiches.
12 in Delaware!
60 bucks is good for 11 footlong subway sandwiches.
12 as well in most of the 48 contiguous states.
One of Deals of the Day for 12/23 is Tony Hawk Ride(360) for $59.99.
What's a TRU deal of the day? Is it web only? Is it in-store advertised only? Are there other deals of the day posted somewhere? Just curious. Thanks.
I can't believe that Activision has already started talks about a sequel.
They will probably add another peripheral too because Activision knows people love having 50 different peripherals sitting in their living rooms.

I am surprised that you can't believe Activision has already started talks about a sequel when this franchise should have died such a long time ago. Plus nobody should be shocked at anything Activision does unless it is a price drop or something free.

Online or In-store only? The date listed is also for TOMORROW.

I know people dog the game, but I have some TRU $$$ that expires soon and nothing else to buy... really...

just a heads up. you can actually buy Toy-R-Us giftcards with the giftcards that expire I had a $20 giftcard that was about to expire so I went in and bought a regular $20 dollar giftcard that didn't ever expire! ha I beat the system

Good to know.

I had the $30 promo gift card from the Batman deal. I bought some junk before it expired. Then returned it in order to move the $$ to a store merchandise card. It's heck more work than simply buying a gift card on the spot.

People need to stop buying Tony Hawk games because they keep coming out with a "new", shitty game with his name on it.

Where is the link to this deal, my little brother "had" to have this game so I bought it for him during the Wal-Mart $40 dollar gift card promo. This would save me another $20.

Glad I'm not working tomorrow so I don't have to tell everyone how bad this game is. Weird that it's a DotD for Wed when today's ad is for Tues/Wed.
the irony is that this game is actually selling. Dont expect it to drop like rock revolution did.
Well, i'd put that on many disappointed children on Christmas morning. "Oh mom, you got me a turd. Thanks"
60 bucks is good for 11 footlong subway sandwiches.
I'd sooner have Tony Hawk Ride over 100 Subway sandwiches: at least I can sell Ride on ebay and buy some food that doesn't suck.
I "borrowed" a used copy from GS for one night. POS!!! I returned it for a used copy of DJ Hero.
How are you able to return? Do you just tell the employees that the game wasn't working or whatever?
I "rented" a used copy from GS for one night. POS!!! I returned it for a used copy of DJ Hero.
Fixed..

I would honestly check this crap out for $10 which will happen sooner or later.
How are you able to return? Do you just tell the employees that the game wasn't working or whatever?
7 day return policy on USED games. Just go in and say no thanks I didn't care for it.

or be ballsy and go in and say thanks for the free rental and I will take this other game for this weeks rental...

If it was for PS3 and $20 less, I would have gone for it. I know the reviews are horrible but ever since I played Top Skater in the arcades in 1997, I was always hoping someone would release a skateboarding game for a home system with a skateboard controller.

for the spoiled kid who has everything, this is the day to buy this game. I've seen RIDE move in every store that sells it, to the point it was OOS. Let the kid figure out it's not what they had dreamed, 2 days later when they get a new game they'll forget about it anyway...my friend's kid got NFS:Shift and was bouncing off the walls happy for hours, until he opened MW:2...now NFS:Shift is a coaster.

I'd almost buy it at that price to hang it from my wall next to my real planks...almost.

The Neversoft-deleveoped games are great, don't count Ride as part of that series.:bomb:

How many times until they say to stop returning and getting a different game?

What I meant was that they keep on using Tony Hawk's name for marketing purposes. Why wouldn't you? They're running out of ideas and this is what happened in return. The developers will just keep "milking" everyone's money as long as it has "Tony Hawk" on it.

I had two giftcards from trading in games that I moved to food gift cards(applebees) which I'm glad worked, since BBV and other places don't let you do that.

Off topic but Applebees sucks. I'd rather go to McDonalds than eat at Applebees.

A guy at the the GS near tells people you can bring it back if you beat it or don't like it.

I don't eat at Applebee's anymore because of an incident, even though I used to love the Riblets.

Back on topic: I do hope TRU has a lot more DotD's more often.

My buy price for this is in the 30-40 range though if it was at Gamestop I would bite. I have crazy amount credit there and it would be something to do for Christmas.

Plus I want to see if I can get my dog to play it like int he YouTube videos. That would make it worth it for me.

Hahahahahaha!!! I knew this was going to be shit when I saw a TRU deal of the day, but this is just funny. This royal piece of shit is already $60. I guess that means they made waaaaaay too many copies of this horrible game. hahahaha

I actually think it was on the front page of gametrailers.com as a user video with. Link to the YouTube Video as well.

Lol Me Too! I did the same thing, but I got my $30 giftcard after purchasing MW2. I beat the system!!

$60 is 10.398613 lunches from taco bell. Nacho Supreme $1.99, Gordita Crunch w/ extra sauce $2.09 & Taco Supreme $1.69. I would rather have ONE of these meals then play Tony Hawk Ride.

It's not a user video, but a viral video produced by Activision. Though that skateboarding dog is real, apparently. :bouncy:
