So the actor who plays Bran is getting hit with puberty. Wonder if they'll try to explain this or end up ignoring it.

They're going to have to do something about it sometime right? Particularly if the series wants to cover the span of the books (9 seasons or so?)

That's what I was saying, the actors are already getting noticeably older. Bran will be grown by the time the series ends, much older than in the books.

Daenerys Targaryen is hellbent on sitting on the iron throne apparently there will be no more nude scenes.

I don't really see how this applies, you've got a few more books/seasons coming down the road.

Yup, I thought he was an odd choice. I really kind of wish they showed him as a chubby, it would have helped show the side-effects that the war brought to common people.

No Lem or Brave Companions so far, I'm wondering if they were cut in order to streamline the strory.

I was wondering that too. The Brotherhood was shown, but no mention of Lem. If they cut out the Companions, I wonder who will

I agree on both accounts, but who knows what has been changed. I pictured Thoros as a kind of warrior priest, robed and all, but armored under it with a sword on his hip. After his time with the Brotherhood I figured him looking rather thin. They never did show him at King's Landing in the tourney I believe.

What kingdom does that patrol belong to at the end with Jaime/Brienne? Haven't read the books and was unsure if I was supposed to recognize them or not.

The Boltons I think.

Yeah, WTF was up with that? Also, so saw that coming. No good deed goes unpunished I suppose.

The Borgias was just as great as well; glad I have two shows to watch again!

Tell me about it. That was a nightmare.

On the other hand, what a reaction from that actor. That shit was freaky.

You know, watching that first scene with the guy about to shoot the arrow, I thought about how it would be if he missed cuz usually these people never do in shows and movies, even though they seem like hard shots to make. I thought this too when Bronn set Blackwater on fire.

It was really cool that the guy was actually missing.

I was kidding about the same exact thing watching it with the lady. Had a good chuckle, ourselves.

I agree with you on that. The episode was amazing, but that music was just terrible and didn't go with the show at all.

Not a bad song, but the style really disrupted the severity of the end scene. And, since the song is about fucking a bear, perhaps not the best choice thematically, either.

The bear is the maiden's vajay, in case anyone didn't get that.

I thought the style of the song was incongruous with the mood of that final scene. However, had it been a horror movie, a rock song like that after a horrifying final moment would have been totally appropriate.

That's exactly what it felt like, which is why I didn't mind it as much. Yeah, it's not a horror show, but I think they wanted to get that same effect.

I almost didn't think they were going to do it, I thought they were going to spare Jamie.

Then.....swipe.....AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Perfect scene slightly ruined by out of place rock music.

Any rationale behind the horse head mosaic?

I didn't get if the Others were artsy fartsy or if the Night's Watch had time to decorate on their way out.

Some kind of omen from the Others I'm assuming, they are of supernatural origins.

Forming geometric patterns not out of instinct (e.g. spiders) is something unique to humans. I think it conveys their point. It also has effect because not only are the Others determined to kill humans, but they clearly celebrate it, whether to inspire fear or they're just that depraved, we don't know.
