There was some concern that it might be the case though shopto denied it. Despite that they beefed up security, they no longer store CC details in their database, just security tokens which are sent to the payment gateway. The token is only valid for shopto.net purchases for a given customer address, so of not much use to anyone intercepting them or hacking shopto. You just have to decide whether you trust their payment gateway from being compromised!
