Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I envy those that are finding games. My nearest store seems like it won't clearance a game unless it is used with a plastic instrument.

Already time for a new thread! The only thing that's missing is that Target icon.

My targets only have PS2 games, cellphone and GPS accessories and those damn earbud covers on clearance. I wouldn't mind finding Kingdom Hearts at 75% off, though.

Wow nice, I'll have to make up a list and try my local target to find some of these awesome deals.
Ever since they put the new video game area up, I have not seen a damn thing on clearance.
Same with the Targets near me (all 83749402 of them.) The few that I frequent have had their clearance sections whittled down to nothing, or completely disappear since the inception of the new shelving/planograms. Though, I must admit, they look quite nice.

I'll have to keep an eye out for MKvDC PS3. The clearance sections have been next to nothing for me too though. There seem to be a lot of shovelware DS and PSP games lately, if that.

No problem everyone. Please let me know if there's anything I missed in the OP (fixed the Target icon) I did skip about 15 pages of the last thread, but did update the last 15 pages of the OP, so I should have mostly everything there.

Also I am thinking of ditching the "added" and "Updated" system and replacing it with a "price updated" where, say, Bayonetta gets dropped to 41.98. I put a price updated there and the date. Then when it drops to 29.98, I keep the price updated and simply keep the date. I'm not sure if anyone is using the data provided by keeping the original added-to-OP date and I think the price updated idea still keeps the relevant information needed for Target shoppers-- let me know what you guys think.

LMFAO @ sgaldis and token2k6 from the final page of the prior thread, which I was about to post in before I realized it was locked. FYI, I would be using my Hoveround, which I hear the fuckin' commercial for about 10-15 times an hour on virtually every channel nowadays.:bomb:

Oh and FOS, you missed the Acer 21.5" monitor under 'misc'. The DPCI for it is: 080-00-0167

Nice. I love new threads.

I don't know how much you want to stay on top of this, but :ps3: 007: QoS was marked down to $7.48 at my targets before all the copies were bought.

God of War II $9.xx
PS2 Component Cables $10.xx
Xbox 360 Component Cables $10.xx
Tom Tom 130 $64.xx
Tom Tom 130s $74.xx
Lexar 4gb Memory Stick Pro Duo $14.xx
PS2 Dualshock 2 Controller $12.xx

Lol. "New thread smell."

Yesterday at the S. Sam Houston Pkwy location:

:ps3:Resident Evil 5 - $14.95 Qty: 1
:360:GH 5 - (couldn't see the price) Qty: 2
:360:GH: Van Halen - (couldn't see the price) Qty: 1
:360:Beatles Rock Band - forgot Qty: 2

There were at least 8 or 9 last Friday but now there is only one of :ps3: RE5.
ridiculous loads of nothing at target.

I'm suffering so bad from withdrawal, I bought Nancy Drew DS today for $3.74.
:whee:

Nothing good at our Target today. Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for $9.xx. Beatles RockBand (game only for 360) $19.xx.

I did pick up a crappy little "trio" digital picture frame for $5.xx. My wife wanted one for her desk at work. Hopefully this will get me laid.

not sure if this was posted but I saw Army of Two Two for PS3 on clearance I think it was 42 or something like that

Anyone got a picture of the clearance maple shelves?(249-05-0027)

I found a store that they dropped to $7.48 at, but I couldn't locate a set of the shelves. :(

Target in Spfld, MO changed the video game section to the plastic cases, so did Joplin, MO. It seems like there are no 360, PS3 clearance games. Just PS2. It seems like they have more room this way so maybe the need to clearance for newer games is gone.

Are you talking about the bookcase?

Hate those new displays. Hardly any room for clearance items. Didn't find anything at all really. Did notice that one of the local Targets is resetting and such.
Saw Bayonetta PS3 for $14.98 but passed...
If I saw it at that price I'd pick it up. Wouldn't mind having a sealed copy since I simply LOVE that game.

I would have gotten it if I didn't already beat it on 360.

Yes, the bookcases have dropped to 75% off at some stores. There's other particle board furniture pretty cheap as well. (Computer desks and at least one of the nicer TV stands).

Dabamus, I don't have a picture but I grabbed one set at 7.48. If I can find more, I'm thinking of frankensteining them together into a custom layout with extra shelves.

Maybe it's the complete lack of video game clearance lately, but I'm searching the entire store extra hard now for cheap stuff. At $30, I had zero interest in the bookcase. But at 75% off, I gotta have it. Curse of being an over-consumer. :)

So is all clearance at Target is YMMV now, not just the prices?

Because Xmen, NGS2, MUA2, Bayonetta and other titles for ps3 are all still full price at all the Targets around here and their are loads of copies....

I did pick up some monster components for PS3 for 10 bucks....
