Trials HD XBLA 33% off today only
I already have it so it does not show the price, but I believe that makes it 800 points.
Yup, 800 points, and it appears to be available for both Silver and Gold accounts, because I'm not logged in to my Gold, but I'm seeing the 800 point price.

Awesome! I love this game! Going to buy me a points card when I get off work so I can get in on this.

Fun game -- the stupidest thing about it is that you can't download other people's custom made tracks over Live. I guess I should say not easily -- apparently you have to be on someone's friend list to share them.

Anyone who doesn't have this, buy it. As much as I love my Shadow Complex, I still think I had more frustratingly fun times with Trials HD. As someone else said, easily one of the best XBLA games you can get.

I loved this game, until I got to a point where the game felt impossible. Litterally, absolutely impossible. I was at a spot in a level where I could see the end, but I just couldn't make it up a 2x4 without dying in some way. After 500 attempts (that is not an exageration, the game counts for you) it told me I had died too many times and I'd have to start over.

After that moment I couldn't take the game anymore and I never played it seriously again. (I did fire it up once or twice just to enjoy crashing for fun)
I kinda want to get it but this game gets really hard doesn't it?
Game is divided into difficulty levels. Beginner and easy are, as expected, pretty easy. Medium adds a bit of a challenge but is still very beatable and enjoyable. The hard and extreme levels can be brutal. You can die over 100 times trying to beat a level (and still fail). There is a nice feature though that lets you watch replays of the top players playing through each level which can help you figure out how exactly to get past a difficult obstacle... at the very least it shows that a level is possible to beat :p

Fun game, one of my favorite xbla titles.

I got this a two months ago and it was worth every penny. I spent more time playing this than any other arcade release ever. At 10 you can't go wrong with just playing the easy and medium difficulty tracks.

Sometimes it's actually easier to tackle a hard spot from EARLIER than the given checkpoint.
Starting over before you got to 500 attempts might have been prudent :)
I often find coming back to something challenging a few days later also improves my mentality and ability.

Anyway I guess I spent 1200 on this when it came out, though I think it was part of some other deal.
All I can say is that it's worth every penny. It's part racer, part puzzle game, but mostly just good clean fun.

Since everyone on god's green earth has this already as it is a top selling, award winning XBLA game,
WHY, oh why, didn't they discount the expansion pack? I still need it.

Had they discounted the expansion more people that own the game already would bite,
and people who don't own it likely would have bought BOTH. Stupid MS.

Ah, thank you...I think that was just what I needed to hear to know it's not for me (clearly a game created more for the Conqueror than for the Achiever ;-)). Maybe if it were 66% off I'd bite.

thanks op and can anyone confirm 2 things for me, i know someone thought it was available to all members (not just gold like usual) so can anyone confirm that all members can buy it? also when does microsoft bill? as in i get paid 2morrow and want to use my card, it wont go in until atleast 2morrow right?

TRY THE DEMO!!!!!!!!!

Don't give up on this game just because the EXTREME level is exactly that.
Trials HD has a variety of tracks from five different difficulties ranging from beginner to extreme.
There are also 12 skill games to test your capabilities with different challenges.
AND a Level Editor, if that's your thing.
Friend leaderboards mean you'll want to repeat tracks a LOT to better your times.
That means even if you skip the last 20% of the game, you're still getting a LOT of fun
And you're getting 33% off.

YOU WILL get $10 worth of play out of this even if you skip the hard stuff.
If you don't like the demo... Oh wait, no one ever disliked this game.
They just felt punished for trying to beat it!

Oh, play the demo of the original on PC or in Browser/Flash too

I may have to get this, which would leave me with about 560 pts. The only thing I really buy on XBL is map packs, (and I'm waiting for a sale on MW2) but I could really go for this game with how many good things I've heard.
Hmmmm....bite now or wait for it to hit 400 points? That might be a while though...decisions, decisions.
I dont think it'll ever be 400 points

Im going to pass because I know a controller would end up going through the wall and I hate replacing sheetrock

Thanks! Been waiting for a reason to buy this game for a long time, other than loving the demo. I realize the later tracks may be too difficult to complete but I'm confident I'll get $10 worth of entertainment way before that point.

I'd be surprised if the transaction even posted by tomorrow. You should be good ordering it today.

Great game! This was the price ($10) I paid when it was first released last August. I got it thru Amazon's LIVE Store.

Big "Oops" on their part as they later changed it to reflect the 1200 points value ($15). :)

Edit: another thing to add -- there is no actual multiplayer (one-on-one) gameplay but everyone gets a spot on the leaderboards based on time. Compare times with FRIENDS only or EVERYONE. That's probably why it's available to both Gold and SILVER.
I dont think it'll ever be 400 points
True. To the best of my knowledge, the best discount 1200 point titles have received are down to 560 points.
Everyone should buy this game and the DLC, though the DLC price hasn't changed so there's no hurry on that (400 points for the expansion).

I don't know if Cheapy will get a commission with this link, but I'm posting the direct one just in case:

I haven't bought the expansion yet, but you could look at this sale like buying the game and getting the expansion for FREE!
400 MSP is exactly how much TrialsHD was marked down!

thanks txbox i kinda figured the same thing. i hate using different cards and i wont have time to get to the bank to swap money soo my plan was to just buy tonight after 5pm and i think i would be golden, just wanted someone elses opinion so thank you. Was actually willing to spend $15 bucks on this so i'm very happy with getting it for cheaper.

Just finished playing Darksiders for 2 hours, shut off my 360, and said "Eh, I'll take one more quick look on CAG before I go to bed." (I work nights) Then I saw this thread....

I played the demo when it first came out and liked it, but I could tell this one would wreak havoc with my blood pressure, and because it was 1200 points, I passed. OK, for 800, I'm in. Can't pass up a sale on a game so many CAGs talk up so often.

I actually didn't know about watching the videos of other players. This is the overall leaderboards, right? Not just people on your friends list?

If nothing else, I may go back and watch someone run through those crazy levels just to witness them. Thanks!
How hard is this game on a scale of 1 to 10? 1 being Spyro and 10 being Ninja Gaiden. I like my games in the 4-7 range.
I think 10 would be Demon's Souls.
I actually beat Ninja Gaiden, didn't find it that hard really.

This is more like Chess or Tetris. Easy to learn, hard to master.
Early levels are a 1, last levels are an 11!
