E3 2010: DVR/Viewing Guide

6/13 - Natal Premiere will NOT streaming live anywhere - "Here is how things are going down : Natal Premiere tonight. MTV records it. Plays it back Tuesday. It is NOT available LIVE via stream etc." - Major Nelson
He will be tweeting live about the event, though.

I couldn't find a DVR guide for E3 2010 on CAG, or even anywhere else online. I'll post everything I can find to record, but please feel free to point out any broadcasting of anything E3 related that I miss.

Big Thanks to @DarkNessBear and @Jodou

Wow, thanks a lot.

And yea on my DVR shows G4 on Monday with only the Ubisoft/Ea conferences. Hopefully the Microsoft conference is in there... and also on Spike they are showing Microsofts conference, but it was 4-6 hours later than when it starts. At least it will be in HD - not sure if it will be commercial free though.

Here are the times in PST (so you don't have to do all the subtracting time BS) + adding Spike.

SPIKE TV

SPIKE TV, home to the SPIKE Video Game Awards, the biggest night of the year for the gaming industry, will be the exclusive broadcast home for the Xbox 360 E3 Media Briefing. Set to air live and commercial-free in high-definition on Monday, June 14, at 1:30 P.M. ET, the Xbox 360 Media Briefing is a blockbuster event where the future of the Xbox 360 system is revealed. Last year’s presentation included the debut of Project Natal, and Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, along with Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison, came together to reveal MTV Games and Harmonix’s The Beatles: Rock Band. Hosted by SPIKE TV’s Geoff Keighley from the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, viewers won’t want to miss breaking news on Project Natal and Xbox LIVE, surprise new game announcements, and world premiere demos of upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive games, such as Halo®: Reach, Gears of War® 3 and Fable® III.
Xbox 360: The Future Revealed airs live on Monday, June 14, from 1:30–3 P.M. ET.
MTV Networks

MTV Networks’ GameTrailers.com will provide live, high-definition video streams on the Internet of both the Xbox 360 Media Briefing and the world premiere of Project Natal, powered by the global Akamai HD Network platform. In addition, GameTrailers.com will present exclusive live pre- and post-shows for the Xbox 360 Media Briefing on June 14 with additional video game world premieres and announcements.
Tune in to MTV, Nick at Nite, mtvU, MTV Hits, Logo, SPIKE TV and GameTrailers.com for all the E3 news!"

Fixed by terrible underlining job.
Also, @DarkNessBear, thanks for converting the times and finding the Spike shows. I remembered hearing about something on Spike, but couldn't find them.

Everything on my post (for PST) is what is showing on my DVR. I don't see anything for MTV or NICK on Sunday... I also heard something like that, but I can't seem to find it. Not sure if it will be a late addition.

Yeah I thought MTV was airing Natal live on Sunday, but apparently no one is airing Natal live. It will only be rebroadcast on Tuesday.

According to VG247, Microsoft is not allowing any recording equipment into the Sunday Microsoft’s Natal Experience. I'm guessing that the one that will be airing Tuesday will be the Monday Microsoft’s Natal Experience.

Ugh... Where going to have shows dedicated to Project Natal? After seeing that video with the family playing I lost all hope in that device.
About 6 days till Microsoft E3 Press Conference, can't wait
Lol, that excited to see people look retarded playing natal? Actually, that does sound pretty exciting.

And who needs G4 when web-streams are free!

Dammit, G4. With WGN upgrading, you are the only channel that I watch on DirecTV (aside from the occasional MTV/Fuse channels) that hasn't been upgraded to HD on my provider.

G4 is as free as the internet... :whistle2:s

The Natal event takes place the day before the real Microsoft event, and is then tape delayed until AFTER the Sony Press Conference. So 2 days for them to edit out all of the failures/bad reactions.

C'mon, you have to have a little faith in them.

The Sony conference starts at 3:00PM Eastern on Tuesday. MTV is really airing this while the Sony conference is happening?

I hear nothing about complaints about the web streams every year.
C'mon, you have to have a little faith in them.
You're right: I do have little faith in them. I just hope Sony doesn't pour on too much Move as well, because I'll just fall asleep.
I hear nothing about complaints about the web streams every year.
Last year the streams I used were pretty flawless. Gamespot did a good job hosting and they re-ran each major conference for a few days so you could catch it anytime. Just hope Ubisoft doesn't hire James Cameron to talk about upcoming films again. . .
The Sony conference starts at 3:00PM Eastern on Tuesday. MTV is really airing this while the Sony conference is happening?
G4 still has the rights to the Sony and Nintendo press conference telecasts. MTV is just countering with what they have available. Don't forget this will be airing right when kids on the east coast get home from school.

Microsoft went with Spike/MTV this year for the rights to their press conferences, probably based on what happened all the way back in 2007. I'm sure there was some type of contract with G4 and when it expired, Microsoft went to the highest bidder.

Oh wow, so does that mean G4 is not showing Microsoft's conference on TV? Because they don't have it listed in my DVR.

Shit, that sucks. I hate commercials during conferences, it's obnoxious.

I did my research and according to xbox.com, this is the Microsoft Conference...

Geoff Keighley tweeted there will be an IPhone/IPad specific stream on the website to watch the press conference live on Monday so that's what I'm going to do since I have broadband, but no pay tv.

This is great info thanks OP
im going to have to make room on my DVR for all these shows.
Also you should update the list with web steam links.
last year i was all over the place trying to find a good quality web stream.

Isn't the Tuesday show a second one that's has tickets being sold for it vs. just a broadcast of the press only version on Sunday? I specifically remember Major Nelson say he would be giving away tickets to the Tuesday Natal show.

Ya, pretty sure it is Monday night though.

Gonna watch Microsofts just to see if the 360 price drops. If it turns all Nataly then I'm turning that shit off and will read it on the net later.

i hate how e3 is setup new with the gay press conferences, i liked it better when they would just show you everything, E3 just feels like an infomercial now

So weird that G4 isn't going to be airing it.

Thanks for the info.

Tonight at 11:30pm EDT/8:30pm PDT, the new game from Valhalla Knights will be revealed on GTTV, and through Eurogamer and Kotaku.

Valhalla Knights is owned by Itagaki if you remember.
How come the times in the 1st and 2nd post are exactly the same?
Some of the times are the same because they are being aired later on PST time. Kinda sucks to be in that time zone I guess.
And who needs G4 when web-streams are free!
So does G4 put all of what it's showing on TV online? Or is it only certain segments? Work is going to cause me to miss some of this stuff, but being able to catch it all online would be great.

I'm not sure, but I don't think they stream the actual conference live. IGN and Gamespot do though, so just look around on Monday. They leave the streams up for a few weeks, so you can really catch it anytime.
how about adding a section with live blog streams?
I tend to run a highlights thread on our clan forums, but I'll try to host one here as well if nobody else does.

Gah, I don't get what's going on for Spike. They said that the Microsoft Conference will be shown Monday 10:30am PST and 1:30pm EST. But my DVR shows the conference scheduled for 1:30pm PST. I don't want to watch it 3 hours after it goes on or watch it online.

And I hope it is commercial free, they havent said it will be yet. . .

GameTrailers newsletter says it's commercial free on SpikeTV.

@DarkNessBear According to VG247 the Microsoft Press Conference will start Monday at "11:30 AM PST on Spike and GTTV.

Sunday, June 13, 7 PM PT: World Premier of Project Natal for Xbox 360, broadcast live via Spike TV and GTTV
Monday, June 14, 11:30 AM PT: Xbox 360 E3 media briefing, broadcast live via Spike TV and GTTV
Tuesday, June 15, 1:30 PM ET: MTV airs World Premier of Project Natal for Xbox 360 (previously recorded at the Sunday night performance, not live)"

Update: They must be wrong, Major Nelson stated on his site that it starts at 10:30AM

So Project Natal broadcasts live on Sunday, but then shown on MTV as a "world premier"? I'm confused.

And Spike keeps saying 10:30amPST for the Monday Conference but my DVR shows 1:30pm. fuck, why couldnt G4 just do all of this, Spike is a pos. Just to record GTTV every week I have to record 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after since they always start it at odd times.

Ya, I bet VG247 is just wrong, that would, however, be sweet if the circus thing was broadcasted live. Besides, all the news will already be out by the time Tuesday rolls around.

Awesome news: YouTube is teaming up with IGN to broadcast all conferences live here. Barring any technical difficulties, I foresee this being the best free stream available, especially in HD. Current schedule as follows (all times PST):
