Is there a thread for android deals? I just got $25 GP and I want to keep an eye out for deals on games/apps.
Unfortunately, not as frequently updated as the iOS sale thread or perhaps not enough deals.

After finding itself as an LG exclusive for almost a year now, the fighting game classic Street Fighter 4 is now finally available for download in the Google Play Store for a handful of other devices. The only problem is most of these devices are unique to Japan where the game is only available (for now). At $3.48 cents by current exchange rates, this is about as close as you’re going to get to having a true Street Fighter 4 experience on your mobile device.
According to Droid Gamers (which has an awesome new redesigned site), the Japanese Street Fighter 4 for Android also has an English option which gives us hope that it’ll be arriving stateside in the near future. The game currently weights in at hefty 1.3GB, so you might wanna start clearing out some old apps in the meantime. We’ll keep you updated.

Anyone used the whatsapp app? My wife wants to send international text to her brother who lives in sweden and is convinced that getting an Iphone and using IMessenger will work for free even for international messages.

Viber should work. My in-laws are in the Philippines, and my wife and sisters-in-law use this app to call and text them for free.

So it's pretty easy to use and won't mess with your normal calling/texting details?

It works great as far as I can tell. I use it all the time now to text my wife, which preserves my meager 200 texts per month on my AT&T plan. If you look up reviews on iTunes or Google Play, you'll see that this app has gotten some great reviews. Anyway, the app's description includes the following:
"Call and text anyone, anywhere. Viber allows you to call, text, and send photos worldwide for free to over 140 million users."
Try it out. I'm sure it's exactly what you're looking for.

Cool..I'll have my wife try it out this weekend.
I am curious though.....is the program tied to your phone number or creates its own number and does she have to be on a wi fi spot or have data on for it to work? If her brother sends her a message outside of viber (using standard texting plan) will she get charged for that message?

It's tied to your phone number (unlike Google Voice), and you do have to have Wi-fi or data turned on to use the app. If your wife and brother text/call each other using the Viber app, they won't get charged. Also, I don't know if this helps you, but you can use Viber if you have a standard cell phone and an ipod Touch. You just need a cell phone to tie your Viber account to and a device capable of using the Viber app. I text my wife's ipod all the time now.

Ok I will give it a try this weekend!

Now when you do get a call from another viber user, does it automatically use viber or give you a choice?
