We are in the process of improving our mobile style, as well as implementing into a full blown iPhone app. There seems to be some confusion about the available mobile styles.

Here are the styles you can currently use. The easiest way to switch styles is to bookmark the links below on your mobile device.

New iOS style (recommended)
[IMG-L=5838]19388[/IMG-L]

Old mobile/iOS style
[IMG-L=5838]19386[/IMG-L]

Full desktop style

Although we haven't formally announced it yet, you can receive price search requests directly to your Twitter account. Just sent a tweet to @videogamedeals with your price request and you will receive an auto-reply with the lowest price within 3 to 33 seconds.

 • One game title per tweet, software only
 • Include game title and platform (for multi-platform games); try to avoid abbreviations like “GOW”, “COD”, etc.
 • You can use natural language, but like searching Google, simple is best
Examples: rock band beatles 360
call of duty black ops ps3
whats the best price for disney epic mickey

In the near future, we hope to add support for used prices and trade-in values.

I'd say it's a bit premature to talk about an android app until the one that has already been promised comes out.

i hate the mobile style with a passion i like the full blown site but for some reason my iphone was not letting me switch back to full site the other day, it was weird its working now but for 2 days straight i had to use the awful crippled mobile site.

Great, I just bought a cheap ass PDA on ebay.

In IE, the default mobile style that comes up (plain text on white background) is very basic and works. In Opera Mobile 10 its a little more advanced and nicer, but the section titles, "Cheap Ass Gamer", "Forums", "Private Messages", "Features", "Utilities", as well as "logged in as" and "log out" look like they're white block letters with a black outline on a white background, its tough to read those.
There is a link to the full desktop style from the home page of the new iOS style. Otherwise, you can bookmark the different styles on your device.
Hey is there a way you guys can add a "switch to mobile style" somewhere on the main page if you're on mobile?

I have Android, and I accidentally switched to full style, and I didn't bookmark the mobile style, and now I can't switch back. :(

Thanks!

If you click forums, it's at the top, right above the "User CP/FAQ/Community/Calendar" menu bar. "Click here to use the CAG iPhone style".

I check the CAG mobile site every day on my Windows Mobile phone. Usually it's nicely formatted with light text on a black background, similar to the full site - not the easiest to read in sunlight, but it works. On Wednesday 1/12, however, the nice formatting was replaced by plain text on a white background. It's usable, but the threads kind of run together.

I gave it a few days to see if it was some temporary glitch, but after almost a week, it seems something broke.

Does anyone (John the Super Programmer?) know of a change that was made around 1/12 that accidentally (or deliberately) degraded the mobile site?

I have a complaint about the newer mobile site. I want to love it, but it's missing features from the older version. For instance:

- No quick reply.

- You can't easily traverse between first and last pages. Also, if you go to an old thread, reaching the later pages is a complete hassle as you have to do one by one from the beginning.

- You can't tell the difference between a locked and an old thread.

- Lastly, you don't have a quick way to get back to the board list.

While it looks really nice, I just don't find myself wanting to use it because of these issues.

However, I completely love the ability to edit posts in the newer mobile version.

I can't even post. I click on the Reply link, enter my comments, then click on the Post link - and nothing happens.

Is there a way to continue to offer the old CAG mobile site (which met my needs just fine) via a different link? Thanks.

PLEASE implement this in the CAG forum! It's so intuitive, free for you to integrate into the forum, and is SO much better than mobile web pages!
I admire your passion, but there's no sign that anybody at CAG is reading our comments or open to the possibility of changing the status quo.

Silicon Valley is beginning to focus design on the mobile experience first, rather than as an afterthought to the desktop. It seems it will take CAG a while to catch up, probably until the mobile shortcomings significantly impact revenue.

I just got a WinMo 6.1 phone and the CAG site on Opera Mobile 10 and the black background isn't showing up giving us the far from ideal white text on white background.

Back then, it was called a "prize", something to be valued. Kids these days...

It's clear that this thread is beyond dead however I'm just posting in the hope maybe superprogrammer john may read this next time the mobile version's getting designed.

The deal stream needs a streamlined mobile version. I have the rss feed but I prefer going via the site.

Was just using it on Android phone. Worked fine.

I've had a similar issue on my Android. Sometimes the mobile version will work, other times the full desktop version comes up instead.

I rebookmarked the mobile iOS version from the OP and it seems to have helped, though I just clicked on a link and the desktop version popped up again.
Recent change sux. Please work on getting the mobile site functional again.
The mobile site is functional. Click the iOS style link in the header.

Yup the mobile style is working for me. I gotta say, Cag's mobile style is the best of any site that I have seen.

Hmm looks like the mobile site quit working for me again when I access a link from a subscribed thread in an email. Anyone else having the same issue on Android?

I have a Android phone too and the mobile site stopped working few days ago. Honestly, I enjoy the mobile site better.
That worked i wish the moblile site had a jump to last page like the full site
It does, on the main page.
Yeah, mobile site stopped working almost 2 weeks ago, it seems. Tried everything. Android phone here.
