Can we get some prices on the games you all want to sell? Very hard to get ahold of people and make a deal to talk prices back and forth. Please and thank you

This goes out to everyone that lists games to sell or trade. Please help us all out

I sorta agree with this and wonder about this as well. Are folks posting stuff for sale making deals when no price is listed and do you get a lot of lowball PMs?

It's really up to you how you want to run and manage your sales, but to me, it seems like more work than I'd like having to respond to more people and constantly having to clear my inbox.

I notice I also tend to not bother asking what people want to pay and what people want to sell their stuff for since it's probably too high and too low for me respectively for me to sell or buy from.

Just curious what's working well for folks. I've been making at least a sale a day so pretty satisfied so far with my pace of selling stuff I won't get to or stuff I'm not interested in.

I believe by posting something like "Under $5" column or "All $15 and under" would help weed out low ball offers. It is too much work playing tag with everyone's messages. I want to buy, buy, buy. Give me a price and we will do business if it is in MY ballpark

What utter baloney.

Yesterday you PMed me wondering about the price on two items in my listing that clearly have prices listed.

Then when I wouldn't haggle the price $1 down to what you wanted, you bought nothing.

I gave you a price before you ever contacted me, and it was in your ballpark. Otherwise you wouldn't or shouldn't have contacted me?

So stop posting nonsense in the thread, and let sellers go about having their listing posted without this nonsense cluttering it up please?

A lot of the PMs I receive are from people with a full inbox.
If your inbox is full, I cannot PM you back.
So please check that your inbox is not full before you PM me.

WANT: PP, Amazon GC, maybe Fable III.

There is no harm to ask if someone would take less. I asked a question and you replied. Your offer was very tempting. And i still may buy from you in the future if you allow me to. My post was clearly for sellers who do not list prices at all. Some come back at you with the highest prices possible and others give you the lowest out there. You just never know. Not bashing them, just asking if they would list their prices. Thats all

Sometimes people have no price in mind and are just open to offers. I get lowballed on higher demand titles (like Dishonored) which is why I post a price for it. It works fine for me, as I am not in a rush to sell everything. Generally though I would recommend posting a price on everything, as I do get offers below what I am willing to sell.

One factor that resulted in a a few people not posting prices is because there has been a some history in this specific thread of people getting criticized for their perceived high prices. People get mocked/insulted/shamed and it leads to a lot of arguing. Fairly recently though the mods have stated that publicly criticizing people's prices is forbidden.

I have never sold anything, but I've bought a fair amount of things recently. As a buyer, I usually skip the posts that don't list prices. I find enough things to buy from sellers who do list reasonable prices. By reasonable, I mean I know what has or hasn't been in cheap bundles, and I know what the Steam sale pricing on most items is.

Anything I can't find a posting for that I'm actively looking for, I include in a post with what I'm willing to pay. Between posting my want list and going through sellers who post prices, I've managed to get my hands on a ton of stuff I want.

Sometimes I make counter-offers even when people have listed prices. I try to keep the offers reasonable. Most sellers on this forum are fantastic about shaving a few cents off multiple purchases. I've had people respond to my want list with prices higher than my listed prices, too. Sometimes I go for it, sometimes I don't.

I am looking for Hero Academy DLC.

I know it was recently 75% off and I missed it.

I already have two copies of the base game and was hoping to nab two copies of the various DLCs then for a few dollars more.

Let me know if you have anything, thanks!

I think its a lot easier when buyers list a price. At times I don't even bother messaging people without prices as I really don't like dealing with numerous messages back and forth.

I have dealt with many here who list prices and its always been a fast and easy deal. I too request that you guys should list prices if possible as it makes it a lot easier for the buyer.

i typically don't list prices because i (a) usually have cheap indie games for sale, (2) don't know what price to list and (d) don't really care what they sell for. i just try to unload my extras and don't really care about price. maybe others who don't list a price feel the same way?

This thread doesn't have rules in the OP anymore for some reason. It should be like the PC Game thread for people selling or trading though. 1 post per person, delete your old one when you repost.

I think the etiquette is once per page, although I guess it depends on each user how many posts they show on one page.

Although for me personally if you're post on every single page you go straight to my ignore list.
