Sorry but I am so sick of this Gamestop bullshit. You don't like their policies? Don't shop there. Them refusing your business is pretty much the goal you were trying for (as far as I can tell from your story). Get a Gamefly account if you want to play a game for a day and return it. And yes, I do work at Gamestop.
EDIT: We had a customer actually tell my manager to shut his mouth and that if he ever saw him outside of the store he would slap him in the face, all because we were sold out of a game the day after Christmas. Working in retail for over 7 years, I am so sick of the entitlement customers like you think they have. So thank you for telling us your story. I've been wanting to vent like that for 7 years.
You work in a tough store, brother. I used to live in Santa Maria, shithole town, and many of the residents aren't much better. I can imagine the kind of crap you deal with working at that gamestop over there, plus it's the only one in town.
Luckily for me I live in Austin now, there are like 20 Gamestops here, so when I have a bad experience at one, I just don't return.
