They should just name Hard mode as Impossible mode. Do I really have to use a low level character just to get past this?

It takes me almost full clip to take down an enemy and it take one shot to kill me. This is just horrible. I tried to counter this by playing the Big Squad option and again, no one ever uses a FUCKING mic. Why do people insist on buying multiplayer games if you're not going to communicate?

You can find a headset for about $12 or less, something so cheap and yet no one does it. Horseshit.

And here I was thinking the AI was stupid, randoms are no fucking better. "Hmmm lemme just stand here AFK and watch my squad get killed" or "I could push forward or heal you but I'm too busy killing d00ds that earn me no experience"

Play the goddamned objective for Fuck sake.

I was using a level 20 character and was able to pass most of the hard mode. The only parts I got caught up on were the last missions on each campaign. So I became too frustrated to try it anymore and just created a low level character and BOOM, first try.

Oh, and finally platt'd the game. So back to gamefly it goes and I'll never have to worry about lag and stupid ai/online characters again for this game. Now I get to work through LA Noir.

I really regretted playing Resistance first... a lot of their missions seem to be mainly defending, which is pretty easy on Hard. Where Security's are nearly all attacking, which is annoying as hell.

I managed to get on an online verses team that was 90% humans vs 100% bots and blew through all the Security missions in no time.

A few tips though. The bots are so hard to kill because the enemy AI buffs like a mofo. Most likely all the enemy bots have advanced health, advanced bullets, kevlar, etc, etc. Not to mention if they have the health command post, it's probably upgraded, so there's another two health pips.
Also, if you're playing solo, it always seems like enemy AI prioritizes human players over bots.
It's best to play as often as possible as Engineer with both ammo buffs unlocked. That allows you to always buff your ammo so it doesn't take as much time to kill bots. I could usually take down 3ish with a clip (barrel clip mind you :lol:) if I didn't miss.
Finally, if you're desperate to beat it on hard, just keep joining and quitting online verses games until you get on a mostly human team vs mostly bots.

last night i got into a couple games where half of my team was just standing at the spawn point the entire game. happened on almost every different lobby i got into. anyone experiencing the same thing?

At this point I've almost Plat'd the game as well. And I got all the trophies that seemed hard to get. It's not so much help that I need. I'm just bitching. The missions that I couldn't pass on hard I moved to the next one on the list and it was a lot easier. And I did notice something, playing with other people turns the AI into super bots as where if it's only me, the AI seems to chill the Fuck out.

The game is more Bi-Polar then my ex-gf.

That's exactly what I was talking about in my post at the top. People just stand around for no reason at the spawn. Or just run around the map where the action isn't even at. There could be like 4 medics in the squad and 3 of them just sit at the spawn. Or you'll see them coming from like 80m and then for no reason they just turn right back around and its at like 96m......Where in the hell are you going?!

Finally beat Dirty Bomb on Hard Mode. Biggest nail biter ever.

I had to buff the AI's weapons like a mofo and setup turrets and mines in just the right spots. Jeabus!

Being a Heavy really helped out a lot.

the new FREE dlc is coming in june. some new stuff being added is pretty awesome. level cap being raised to 24. serenitygod can start playing again! YYYEEEEESSSSSSSSS

New Maps

  • Founders’ Tower – The revolution finally reaches the island’s iconic spire and takes the battle for the Ark to dizzying heights.
  • Labs – Venture into the depths of the Ark’s original research and development laboratories, a submerged high-tech facility so far untouched by the civil war.
New Player Abilities

  • UAV – This stealthy and lethal device allows Operatives to automatically mark nearby enemies on their radar. For more explosive fun, they can even take direct control of the UAV and detonate it near unsuspecting foes.
  • Napalm Grenade – Soldiers can use this new grenade to cover an area in a sea of deadly flames.
  • Pyro Mine – Engineers can plant these mines and leave enemies in the epicenter of a massive napalm explosion.
  • Field Regen Unit – Medics can deploy these units to increase the health regeneration of any nearby teammates.
  • Tactical Scanner – This universal ability allows players to reveal the active buffs of their opponents, allowing them to pick off enemies more strategically.
New Weapon Attachments

  • Bayonets – Gain the edge in melee combat and cause extra damage with these deadly blades.
  • Weapon Shields – Take cover from enemy fire and prevent headshot bonus damage behind riot-style shields.

  • The Sad Punk – Add a touch of Steampunk to your Resistance character.

Now that I think about it, those Napalm Grenades would be perfect for escort missions. Especially on the Container City map as Security. Those Resistance bots love to stick in a tight little group. Anything to help the gameplay I'm all in for it.

Don't know if a rundown of what was included in the patch was posted... but it seems like the AI might focus more on completing objectives (though they still like to prioritize killing enemies, though that makes sense, they should be able to tell someone has their back... and maybe they would, if I'd take the time to set defending them as my objective. :lol:) and it seems like doing stuff (hacking, building/repairing, etc) takes less time.

Got my platinum today. Just played through organically for most of them. Then started a new character for a few ones (like the challenges). Fun stuff. Who still has the game?

I still got it. I want my spec-ops dlc and the free dlc. It's a fun game, I've just been busy trying to finish up Crysis 2 and Afro Samurai.

Did they give gamestop customers anything for the Doom DLC? I mean, will a receipt prove that you have a code coming to you? I heard of some customers complaining that even the employees don't know what they're gonna do.
