Do we have an idea of how long the "New Nightly Deals" are staying around. Is this a new everyday thing or is this a promotion lasting a week?

With the good starting prices of Mafia 2 it's a good sign to see some good stuff coming up.

Thanks Cheapy for posting I'll be checking back tonight. Passed on Mafia 2 hoping for Vanquish

I was thinking of buying but this is half of a month of Gamefly for me. I'll just rent it but if Demons Souls is on sale, count me in! :D

So I'm taking that the PS3 port is the version to get? Am I right?

Aside from Blu-Rays being scratch resistant and Final Fantasy XIII, when is it ever better to get the PS3 version? ;)

But in all seriousness, the 360 version from a technical perspective is going to run better but it won't be noticeable if you only play the PS3 version.

I'm hoping Amazon just screwed up by putting that Director's Cut picture there. I have a hard time believing that a Director's Cut would have the same UPC and be $29.99 when it includes over $30 worth of DLC.

I also think that anyone ordering that game (PS3 version) from the 3rd party vendor will be getting upset when the regular edition shows up. My ps3 order came to $14 even after tax and I would've gladly paid $11 more for the Director's Cut.

I rented this game and I swore not to buy it, unless it was $10 or less. But at $12 shipped after my 10% off Gamefly membership discount, I had to get it. If only cause my brother can borrow it as well and the story is nicely put together.

Now playing: Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare (XB1), Dark Souls (PC), Starcraft 2 (PC), Infamous: Second Son (PS4), Dead Rising 3 (XB1), Rouge Legacy (PSV), Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition (PS4).

Yeah, I can't find any info on a Director's Cut version of the game. Someone on GFaqs said that the Russian version of the game had the extra content, but I am having a hard time tracking that down too.

Bought the game for $15 new at buy.com a few weeks back. I was looking forward to a GF sale for months now, but only 1 game per day? What happened to the selection of games like their normal sales?

So I ordered 2x for the 360 and 1x for PS3. Plan was to keep one for the 360, trade one into amazon, and decide later on the PS3, else trade it in.

So I went to set up the amazon trade in (which changed from $18 to $17.50 right as I clicked "Trade In" :bomb:) and I guess they changed their policy, because now it seems you only have 7 days to ship. Didn't it used to be 30 days?

Any input on this or any thoughts on how long the amazon trade in price will hold would be nice, so I can cancel/modify my order before it goes through.

I don't like having a sig, but for CAG, I figured I'd sheep along.

I only remember it being 7 for everything since they go hand in hand. I could be wrong as I don't think I traded into Amazon for a while when they first started, but I feel pretty sure that it's been that way for at least two years or so.

If Amazon did have a 30 day TIV lock in policy, they probably got completely raped and changed it soon after. Think about it. Nearly everyone on this site would buy a game near release and then lock in the TIV a week after when TIV is normally at its peak on Amazon and then keep it for another 30 days to beat the hell out of it. Can we say free rental service?

Good price on Mafia 2, but I just recently picked it up via the TRU Dragon Age 2 deal. Excited to see what else comes up, I usually have pretty good luck with Gamefly sales :D

Now that I think about it, I think the deal was you could leave your trade ins in the "cart" for a given time before needing to submit them. But I could be wrong. Regardless, I know in some manner or another there was some period longer than just 7 days.

EDIT: nvm, I read the FAQs on the Amazon Trade-In thread, and locking=submitting, not cart. But this still leaves the question as to where I got the notion of locking values longer than 7 days.

lmao, "free rental service"...that makes absolutely no sense.

First, I havn't followed prices, but I am sure Amazon has never had MSRP = Trade In value.

Second, if you are trying to call me an idiot for thinking this with an argument such as a "rental service-like exploit", I would just cite GameStop's return policy as a similar retailer with a comparative "rental service-like exploit"

Spiderman would be a good one. I've seen the PS3 version go for cheap on Amazon, but not the 360 version. I'd be interested if the price is right (and with GameFly, it usually is).

Bring back the end-of-month sales though!

I can confirm that the trade in period was 7 days 2-3 years ago. Basically any game that comes with $20 credit is still a free rental (ie Bulletstorm) since it hovers around $40 TIV the first week it's out.

Anyway, so are these deals update like their previous sales, around 8 pm EST?

Edit: I see you Cheapy
