damn, things look..decent. I wonder if Splinter Cell will be in the same vein as Conviction (the first one I actually could figure out and enjoy) or all pretty much hardcore stealth..

It's the best of the "hardcore stealth" Splinter Cell games. From what I've heard, SC3D not a very good port, unfortunately.

May 17th cannot come quick enough. I cannot wait for Dead Or Alive: Dimensions. A couple of years ago, I daydreamed about a DOA game on the DS that was pretty much what DOAD is going to be like. No doubt about it, Dimensions sold me on the 3DS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkrbnmLWUFg

Thanks for this, plan to keep it updated?
Yes, I will try my bestest :p to update the OP whenever I can, so please feel free to post in this thread if a new 3DS game title becomes U.S.-bound (or gets delayed :whistle2:( ).

I love Dead or Alive and there hasn't bee a new installment in a very long time. So needless to say I'm picking this one up day one, especially with online and all! I was hoping it was a launch title since I wanted it more than SSFIV but maybe it is a good thing it is being spaced to May, where it practically has it all by itself.

Besides it, there's Zelda in June and Resident Evil in July, not too shabby so far. Then there is Cave Story and Devil Survivor too to look into.
DoA looks to be the first visual stunner for 3DS.
Too bad I'm not a huge fan. :(
DOA is a fun series to just pick-up and throw down in, but it isn't for everyone.

Feels like forever! Looking at the May 3DS releases, it is arguably the biggest 3DS game of the month. The delay could actually work in DOA's favor since people impressed with SSFIV3DE might be interested in picking up another fighting game to play on the 3DS. I'm hoping that DOA: Dimensions' free 28 costume launch DLC will be released over here, as well.
Pinball hall of fame could be awesome. And a "budget" title too.

Anyone know what tables are on it?
I'm guessing that every table from the Wii version(10 tables, iirc)and maybe the 360-exclusive tables.

That one is on my radar as well, but I'm a bit played out on it if it's just the same tables. Which I suspect it will be.

Animal Crossing 3DS $39.99
Kid Icarus: Uprising $39.99
Mario Kart 3D $39.99
Paper Mario 3D $39.99
Star Fox 64 3D $39.99
Super Mario 3D $39.99

Which of this group does everyone think will actually get released this year? I can't see them all launching, as it seems like too much Mario at once. I think Super Mario 3D will go into next year along with Paper Mario or Mario Kart. I think one of the 3 will make it this year, maybe two. The other games should be good for this year though.

Well, after seeing the 3DS potential in a few videos and checking it out in store I was thinking of picking one up. But after looking at the launch titles and the games to come...I think I will have to wait it out until probably summer/fall. Only things of interest to me are much later releases, and even then, are not 'must-haves'.

I might give Pinball Hall of Fame a look. Never played a DOA game so that's also on my radar, my roommate is really excited for it, so at least I can try his first. OOT is a definite, and Cave Story is also something I want to try. RE:M I'm kind of meh about.

Who would think they'd give us yet ANOTHER reason to buy Hall of Fame

Wii - nudging the table motion controls, first release
360/PS3 - Newer tables
PSP - Portable
3DS - 3D

I wonder how the 3D'll work on that?

paper mario 3d is the only game on the entire list that i would even be looking at playin (that is why i have no interest in the system until fall or even next spring)

I see Kid Icarus, Mario Kart, Paper Mario, and Star Fox coming out this year given how far along they been in development. I think Animal Crossing and Super Mario 3D would be delayed into early next year, probably Spring or later. Who knows though, Iwata did say they have a lot of 3DS content that has been in development for a long time, a lot of what we know nothing of. So it's difficult to anticipate in some sense.

I really really REALLY hope that Zelda doesn't get pushed back. I'm actually looking forward to that more than Skyward Sword.

RE:M I'm kind of meh about.
I believe the demo for DOA4 is still on the Xbox Live Marketplace, if you want to give it a look before DOA: Dimensions comes out. They've changed the counter system from the 4-point "press-forward-to-block-medium-kick" system from DOA4 to the 3-point system from DOA3 for DOA: Dimensions. It's a change for the better, IMO.

Pinball:HOF is excellent. If you like pinball games it's a must-buy(if not on the 3DS, than the home consoles).

I was meh on RE:M too until I watched this trailer.

My big concern is if the 3D causes it to have a lower framerate how that will affect being able to enjoy the game. If the ball is moving really fast it might get to difficult to keep your focus on it. I was going to pre-order it, but instead i'm going to wait for some previews before deciding.

BlazBlues:CSII was confirmed in Nintendo Power to be coming out here in the U.S. Spring 2011 from Aksys Games.:D:D:D

Blazblue and Dead or Alive for May? Not too shabby at all and then I get OoT3D and Cave Story too in June. 3DS is looking pretty keen for the next couple months really.

DS looks dead, why can't they bring Solartorobo over here like Europe damnit?! And the Wii, absolutely nothing....I'm truly surprised. This is the first time ever I'll be not buying Wii games this year, with the exception of Mario Sports Mix. I'll just stick to my PS3 for console gaming for now.

And yes, there are haters out there that claim the Wii had no games since 2008, but the fuck they know. It was a pretty good console and I bought over 55 games and counting for it, but I guess a drought was inevitable eh?

Tecmo Koei has announced Dead Or Alive: Dimensions' release date......It's going head-to-head with BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II on May 24th.

Although I own Nintendogs, Pilotwings, and Steel Diver, I still want to play Rayman and Bust-a-Move.

I think we'll see the future months fluff out as developers reveal games they've been working on. Likely, a lot of titles that were originally slated for DS are being revamped for 3DS. The original DS horizon looks bleak, while I feel the 3DS horizon is geared to explode.

Hopefully Tales of the Abyss won't have ridiculous load times... it's the only Tales game I never beat cause I got annoyed because of it lol. And it's coming out before Tales of Grace F? The eff.

The said the loading time improved

Oh wow, Dragon Quest Rocket Slime 3 is coming out this year. It better come to America or I am going to be fucking pissed. I would of even imported that one.

Is the Battlefield 3 port just speculation? "mobile device handheld" to me sounds more like the iPhone and there's already a Battlefield Bad Company 2 iPhone game. If anything, if it's coming to a dedicated handheld gaming device, I'd expect the NGP to be the more likely destination for it due to its dual-analog thumbsticks.

Yeah, just consider it as rumor/speculation until more concrete info comes out from EA. Mass Effect 3 also falls under this category. You can be sure that EA will milk these franchises if the 3DS grows in popularity :p .
OP list updated for this week. The 3DS drought is almost over >.< .
Where are you getting the Devil Survivor release date? I think Atlus has only said "Summer", and Amazon's date was updated from 6/28 to 8/23.

Not to mention the Nintendo press release of games on any Nintendo platform thru the end of June didn't include SMT3D...

Was going to be my "first" purchase but I don't think I can hold out until August :/

The inital release schedule was from an article on Siliconera a while back, so I'm not surprised that it got pushed back. I will update the OP again once a firm date gets nailed down. I welcome any and all contributions to the main list.
Been a slow week for updates, so let me know if there's any gross inaccuracies in the OP. Cheers!
It's an alright year for the 3DS. Some really solid titles coming out.

Wow... Cave Story got bumped too? I guess by now I'm hoping it becomes hard to find a 3DS come holiday so I can sell mine and break even and just wait for 3DS Lite. Looking at the release list, mine's gonna be a paperweight for ~6 months before I even use it >.>

Wow i lucked out, managed to order a copy of BlazBlue at Best Buy for 29.99, apparently the price was wrong and its back to 39.99 now. Hope my order doesnt get cancelled ^_^.

Either way, counting down the days until the 24th, cant wait for DOA

I'm just waiting for E3 to get some more official information about the releases, if I see that some key games (mainly Paper Mario 3D, Animal Crossing 3D and Megaman Legends 3) are either coming out this year or early next year, I may pick up a 3DS over the summer.

Didn't realize the Saints Row game was cancelled... that was a selling point of the system for me =/

Ah well, the games I requested from goozex and LoZ should all come in for me by the end of June.

Some of the info in the OP will be condensed and spoiled to make room for the onslaught of new E3 announcements. I will probably get rid of the import section, as well. Please bear with me during the change-up, thanks!
