If you go into BB where the gaming kiosk/counters are there's Madden 2012 Midnight release promo flyers with coupons;
Spend $50 get a $5 giftcard, $100 get a $10 giftcard & $250 get a $25 giftcard

the coupons DO NOT have different barcodes so a photocopy will work but the BB I went into had stacks of them.

Madden 2012 is part of 5 for $100 deal so you basically get $25 credit for the reg. version. And if your getting the $90 SE add a $15 @gamer mag sub to bump you over or add some of the other $5 pre-orders to it to add to the $100 RZ.

The one I'm looking at is for store #576 & has all their info along with
8/29 10:30 pm some sweepstakes thing...maybe only stores that have the midnight release will have them. Might need to go online & search which stores have the midnight release.

Says goto www.BestBuy.com/576 at the bottom of the store promo text.

I found the flyers right next to all the 5 for $100 RZ deal & they had other midnight release flyers w/o coupons too spread throughout the various gaming areas.
 
I'm confused....I've already preordered it so if I purchase and pick the game up on release day at like 6pm, will I get a 5 dollar coupon? Or do I have to preorder with the coupon in hand or what's the deal here?

Give the coupon at checkout a prompt will come up automatically depending on the amount you spend to issue the correct giftcard amount. So if you just buy Madden you pay $60 plus tax & recieved a $5 gc. In order to recieve the $100 or $250 gc you'll need fillers. If you buy the madden SE for $80 & are doing the 5 for $100 p/u 4 more pre-orders and there's your $10 gc.

If there's stuff you want to buy with it to increase the gc go for it. Also, if you won't make it to $250 but could get $150 by in 2 seperate transactions. The cashier probably won't let you do it back to back so you may have to grab n buy drop the 1st in your car then come right back in for the 2nd purchase.
 
And last question....(sorry keep thinking of these after the fact) Is this a midnight launch only deal?

It's not a fantastic deal but 5 dollars added on to the 20 dollar credit from the 5 for 100 deal is still 5 extra dollars

If we wanted to tag team this with the 5 preorders $100 off, does that mean we'd need to do ALL that jazz (signups, preorders, pay off ALL OF THEM at that time, etc) AT the midnight madness. Im hoping not 'cause its gonna be a zoo.

*edit* I know E has this figured out six ways to sunday. I'm hoping we can payoff our 5 preorders & cash in on this extra $$$ at the same time. *prays*

There just a bonus to encourage people to spend on other items while in the store. $25 credit is probably the best credit amount going but all the $5, $10 & $20 extras add up with the $100

There's still no way to pay the entire pre-order amount off some the max would be $60 or $80 for Madden & $20 for the other pre-orders.

My bad #-o Never done a preorder @ BBuy since I've avoided the place like the plague up until the preorder deal.

Anyone care to brainstorm along with me as to things to buy to increase the total (that arent mega overpriced as usual at bbuy)

$60 Madden + 4 pre-orders $20 + $15 @gamer= $95 just grab a $5 budget DVD to get to $100. The @gamer sub will pay for itself easily using in the 1st mag then everything else is profit.
$80 Madden + $15 @gamer= $95 + $5 budget DVD $100

If your going for the $25 gc
I take it that you don't check BB for clearance games($10-$15 quality depends on your BB), check the TV DVD sets that correspond with what new season is releasing that week should be competitive(breaking bad sea. 1-3 $15 ea, Smallville $15 ea) or budget DVDs/CDs.

You be surprised. Many gamestops do midnight releases for Madden. It is America's favorite sport. And the turnouts are pretty good.

Im just amazed.. its friggin madden. ITs been the same damn game for years. They havent even tried since they bought the NFL licence. *shrug* I guess people are willing to pay 60 bucks for a roster update. i just never thought someone would actually go to a midnight launch to get the new lineup

Thanks man. Yeah I was going for the whole enchilada uf I could find a clever way to go about it. Im still on the fence re: the preorder 5 deal. (2 for sure wants, also madden (since its a lynchpin in alot of the deals lately. The other two are ??? for me so another $5 off per would make winging it more agreeable (instead of amazoning as I usual do)

BBuy, always so close yet not quite there for me. Dang.

Clearance near me is wiped for the most part and I dont really buy much media other than video games (backlog is so huge, no sense in getting into any more tv shows)

I don't get the midnight release thing for any game...heck, I've only done two midnight movie releases and that was the dark knight and the first transformers (kind of a spur of the moment thing).

As for Madden, I buy it every other year...enough progress to make it worth a new purchase imo.

I'm always amazed at people who will use the tired "it's the same game" comment, mainly because it's an obvious indicator that the commenter doesn't actually play the games and hence, is talking about a subject that he knows little about.

It's always going to look pretty much the same at a glance: it's football. However, there are gameplay changes and improvements to various modes every year. Some years it may make a person want to buy the new version, some years it may not. I know that this year I'm getting it for the first time in two years mainly because of the improvements to offline franchise.

Plus, it's the best value($25 credit) for madden when paying full price for the game when combined with 5 for $100 & this effects those getting this as 1 of their games.

In other news, all Final Fantasy games are, and have been, the same for the entire time. Graphical improvements and engine improvements be damned!

215-784-7020, give em a call ask the gaming reps they're full page colored coupon/midnight release promo flyers right behind the register on the counter next to the 5 for $100 RZ detail printout. Even if your BB doesn't have them ask mine to fax/scan/email to your store.

It has a big enough following where ESPN gave Madden it's own show featuring a cross country tournament with big prize money.
 
Does this coupon require a Madden purchase? I ask because I just picked up the 250gb console yesterday, and the rep said she couldn't find the coupon in the system, but would honor it if I brought it in. Would love to get another $25 gift card on top of the $75 card.

they also make enuf take down the bestbuy @gamer coupon scans he used to put up. sometimes we get lucky and someone at slickdeals will put them up, but that's a nono here on cag.
 
Stopped at my BB on the way to go grocery shopping. They didn't have the flyers and the "new" super-bitchy gaming clerk was there. Talked to a manager, he said he's "aware" of the coupon, but that stores could opt into that deal and they did not.

I feel like if a store that was good was eaten by a bison and that bison took a crap, that would be my local BB.
 
Ok, so I just got back from the store and I realized they never gave me my gift card or any code for the store bonus teams?!?

I even added a few cd's so that my total was over $50 so I would get the gift card and showed her the flyer (that they even included in ever customers bag) yet no gift card. I also thought the team downloads would be ion the box because they didn't give me any voucher? Nope.

I did get them to match the TRU though.

Midnight here, they opened up 15 minutes early, everyone was done by 12:15, they closed down. Always try to get there a little early if you can if there is no customers they will shut down.
