Hey all,
I was in Wal-Mart last week and I picked up a copy of their toy guide, and it showed the new Harry Potter game for the 360 with a $29.00 price tag.
I went in a couple days later when it was released, and it came up at $49.00 in their computer. I showed them the picture of the guide and they were flummoxed. One guy went to the front to see if there was an ad correction posted, and came back saying there was not. They kept saying, "This must be for the first game, for this price", but on their website at least, Lego Harry Potter years 1-4 is only $19.99.
The sales associate had to go get a manager for authorization, but they did honor that price. Their gift guide is on their website as well with the same price. I read somewhere else about someone using the gift guide to get a local competitor to price-match, for what it's worth.
Just though I'd share.
