Please note that your bank can't just hold your money for something you will not receive...unless YOU 'accept' that. I tried to tell that to someone the other day, but I guess they didn't want their money too bad.

They CANNOTTTTT, just, hold your money. I agree with you calling Best Buy and your bank.

I read through the whole thread but I'm not sure if I'm understanding this right...

So, if I wanted to use this to get the Metal Gear Solid Collection for basically $30 out of my pocket, I'd have to pay Google $20, they would give me a $40 gift code, I redeem that at checkout on Newegg, and pay $10 more?

Yes. Paying 20 doubles your money to 40 for a newegg purchase

You can think of it as a one-time use $40 Newegg credit for $20

Deal starts at 9am PST/10am MST/11am CST/12pm EST: http://promotions.ne...3888/index.html

You're paying $20 upfront on Google Offer's website and you'll receive a single $40 code ($20 you paid + $20 promo) to use at Newegg. The code expires on 2/26/2012 so if you dont use it by then, then they'll refund you your $20 (you'll lose the $20 promo credit)

The code is one-time use only:
- if your purchase is >$40 then you just have to pay the amount over $40 (if you buy something for $50, the code will take out $40 so you'll owe $10)
- if your purchase is between $20-$40: you wont have to pay anything out of pocket, but you'll lose the remaining balance since the code is one-time use (if you buy something for $30, the code will take out $30 and the remaining $10 balance will be gone)
- if you place an order for <$20.00 then they'll refund you the difference between $20 and your purchase price (if you buy something for $15 then $20 you paid - $15 purchase = $5 so they'll refund you $5 and you'll lose the promo $20 credit)

I'll be using it on Saints Row: The Third. Finally a decent deal. The game is currently $55.88, so that will turn into $15.88. All in all it's like you are paying $35.88 but it's worth it regardless.

Good deals to be had on (with .01 filler..) Gears of War 3, Forza 4, NBA 2k12, Ultimate MvC, Halo Annv Ed. (at 37.99, a bit more filler is needed), among others - 20.00 out of pocket.. Better than Black Friday in most instances (besides the amazon $20 NBA 2k12 glitch (PS3 only) and the $15 MS store price on Halo....)

MW3 for 32xx isnt bad at all either...best price yet for it...

Wow, it's $50? I always assumed they were $40. Well then, 2 1600 points cards! Btw, that's a seriously stupid price for the 4000 points cards.

Why is that stupid? That's what they are worth. 80 point = 1 dollar.

I've seen deals for the points cards get at least 10% off or when it's usually on sale for $40 dollars very often, getting it at $50 would be ridiculously lame. 80 points = 1 dollar, is MSRP right? 160 points = 1 dollar sounds way better to me with this deal, for 2 1600 points cards.

MSRP is 80 points to the dollar regardless of whether you buy 1600 points or 4000. What aren't you getting?
