Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked 3DS $39.99 and Eligible for B1G1 50%

Haha, I just posted this in the other thread:

I want to get Cave Story 3D and Devil Survivor Overclocked, but I can't bring myself to pay $30 each for games that can be had in similar versions for much cheaper/free.

You could be getting both those games for the price of one Devil Survivor once this stock runs out. About 140 left at this point.

Thanks for the update!

I was waiting for it to be back in stock, though there's no other game I'm looking for other than MK7 for the half off deal... >.< I'm gonna wait it out for the slim chance they drop it to $30 again :3

in for 1, thanks op. Still kicking myself for not getting it used during gamestops buy 2 get 1 free the day before black friday. I knew I saw it but my brain just didnt register it at the time.

it is going to be OOS before any price drop

As I have said in other thread(s?) it is a pretty fun game with good voice acting and an intriguing story. Well worth the price.

I'm guessing Atlus will reprint this when Devil Survivor 2 Also Overclocked comes outs. You know they will.

@Vinny
I hope that's the case :D It's kind of hard to see them put all the effort into adding a English voice cast into the game, and make the game that limited.

@62t
Still a price drop, and I never said it was a reprint :p
edit: oh the post said it

Overclocked still stands as the only 3DS game I paid $40 for. I went and got a gutted copy from Gamestop after it went out of stock the last time Amazon put it in a buy 1 get 1 half off sale. I wish I'd known they were going to restock it; I just got Cave Story and Punch Time Explosion XL (PS3) yesterday.

Everyone keeps saying that it will get a reprint, and I don't doubt that it will. But for $30 why would you take the risk that it might not? What's the best thing that would likely happen? It gets a reprint and you can find a copy on sale for $25. That hardly seems worth it for $5.

Yup, I also bought a full price gutted copy from GS. /sorrow

Was considering going for this so I could have an excuse to buy Mario Kart 7. Is it worth it? I really liked Persona 3/4. Not so sure about a more niche turn based title though.

My wallet hurts... :(

Mario Kart 7 isn't part of the B1G1 50% sale.
Bought 2 copies also. Keeping 1 for myself and selling the other around Christmas time, see what price it will fetch.
What the heck. Me too. One to keep, one to gift or sell.

I ordered overclock along with bit trip saga for the wii which was $39.96. Seems like two good games for $60 plus tax and I had to pair it with something fast because I know it will sellout fast. How do you guys see how many copies are left in stock? Thanks OP even though my wallet is saying Screw You.

You guys are the worst. All this urgency about running out of stock made me order this with Cave Story 3D. My wallet now weeps.

Nope we saved you $30 since the cheapest copy is now $69.99

He can get it cheaper off ebay. Also Cave story will probably be $20 or less within a few months. Probably didn't save any money, especially if DS:O is reprinted.

out of stock. By the time the reprint comes about (if it does), I would have made back the majority of the money selling the other copy, so I'm happy. Game for $10-$20 depending on what I sell it for isn't a bad deal.

And I don't see any new copies even approaching that price on ebay.

I really think this game is going to be reprinted now that their are more 3DS's out there, and there is a demand for it. It would be a bad decision for them not to reprint it now that the install base has gotten significantly bigger in a few months.
You guys really think it will be reprinted when part 2 is in the works?
Part 2 is in the works for the original DS, so Atlus will likely often re-print one of their few 3DS games they have to offer at the time to keep themselves semi-relevant on the platform.

I said this last time the game came back in stock at Amazon, and I'll say it again - Atlus is going to keep this in print for a while. It hasn't been out for long, and it would be a foolish waste of their money and resources for it to suddenly disappear from the market with so few copies out there.

Then again, it's not like they put much effort into converting the DS original into a 3DS game. :p

I would say adding voice acting is huge. There is more voice acting in this game than any other Atlus game

Just popped back in stock, but I think I snagged the last copy. I guess keep an eye open in case it comes back in again.

And I think this is actually the second reprint, or at least Amazon got a large restock on Halloween. Those sold quickly and the prices rose again.

Fair point, I suppose. How does a restock occur then? Returns from smaller merchants sent to Amazon where they can move them?

Amazon has great relationship with distributor across the country. Somebody out there must have a few boxes and amazon got hold of them.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Atlus is trickling out each shipment to create artificial demand.
