Skyrim PS3 and Xbox 360 Version $49.99 at Amazon

CAGiversary!
Amazon.com price matched the target deal for Skyrim, it is currently $49.99 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. Free shipping with Amazon Prime. Sorry no love for the PC gamers. Only slightly more expensive than the TRU deal for most, if you factor in shipping and tax on the TRU deal.
I'd probably get this but I'm not sure if someone is getting it for me for Christmas.
sit on it until christmas, and if someone gets it for you after all return your copy.

$49.99? I'd maybe jump in if it were $30-$35 after hearing about the PS3 lag bug that haven't been fixed. Don't really like to endorse bugged games :/

And even maybe there will be a GoTY version at some point in 2012.

The lag was fixed with the last update a few weeks ago.

how likely do you guys think it is that Amazon will match TRU's price next week? I currently have $35 in Amazon credit so I'm hoping to buy there, wondering if its worth the extra $10 to lock it in right now and have it waiting for me on Monday. CAG opinions?
bah, I was hoping for PC version also.
Ditto.
And hopnig that hits $40 on a TRU price-match on Amazon.

No. No it wasn't. They did a patch to supposedly fix it, but it made it even worse for some people, and wound up causing a crap ton of bugs for other peoople. It seems they dont know wtf theyre doing with the PS3 version.

I think it has something to do with their crappy code actually. The way it stores data baloons up over time. For the 360 this just causes the game to chug sometimes. The PS3 gets totallys crewed though. The 1.3 update that was coming out didn't have any fixes for the problems caused byt he 1.2 update. Maybe they'll have it straightened out by 2.0 or so =P

There was an article on it over at BT last week:

anyway. I still havent played this game though i have it for the 360. I dont want to get sucked in untill after xmas, i got too much stuff to do to get ready for the holidays, lol. I did want to get a copy for my cousin though. How long do you guys think this sale will go through?

Thanks for the post OP. I've had this game for the Xbox 360 since the week after it came out and only started playing it yesterday since patch 1.3 was released. I would not recommend getting it for the Playstation 3 at all if you don't have an Xbox 360 or a PC that can play it.
