Video system repairshop in Lafayette IN area?

I wanted to play on my snes haven't played it for 6 or 10 years and well the problem with my snes is a broken power plug (plastic piece broken, can see 2 wires).

I'm wondering is there any video game type repair type shops in Lafayette IN or in Indiana area that could fix this issue or should I just head to local game exchange or whatever and get a used snes?

Any online shops that sell used snes for good price ones that work well..

I also found one site who does repairs on it even lists the broken power plug thing as a issue they can fix.

I saw one of those third party snes systems made by I forgot who are those worth getting? I want to play secret of evermore I know I can just use a rom, but I want to just play in my room..

Would a snes be a better option?

The one third party one either plays only snes or plays nintendo and snes or nintendo, snes and sega genesis..

I've read there's a way to repair this, but I'd rather find a repair shop or just buy one that works.

What's a good price for a snes that works?

35$ then shipping and all ... not worth it to send it there imo. So close to the price of a working one. I wouldn't throw the broken one away though :D
 
Thanks I'll check local places for working snes. I'm not throwing this snes away it's one my mom gave me after a rabid cat attacked me and bite my arm.

Those shots were worth it.

I couldn't believe it happened I guess the cord got broken moving from Louisiana to Indiana. Ah well.

Ah well I wish they'd release secret of evermore on the VC or 3ds It was one of my favorite snes games along with earthbound, mario paint, secret of mana, and many others.
 
You could probably find a used one at Disc Replay for 35$ I would imagine. There is a place in Indianapolis that does console repairs, I don't know if the goes that retro though. The place is called Games Replay, or Game Replay. It's on South Highschool road. You might be able to look it up by that info, but it's really close to my house, so i can try to get the addy for you and the number by the weekend if you don't have it by then.
 
Console prices at Game Xchange are usually a decent amount cheaper ($5 or so) than Disc Replay. To some extent and not trying to move convo or anything, I'm surprised how few people even hit Game Xchange for some of their deals on older games / consoles.
