Xbox Live Gold 12 months for $35.99, no tax for most

It was actually $35.99 the last week of January.

Since they've become $59.99, the lowest I've ever seen the cards from any legit seller is $32.99.

If you need one shortly, I'd buy this.

Thanks op! Cheapest I've see in a while.

What was the point in rasing the price to $59.99 anyway, it seems like someone has them on sale for at least $39.99 one week or another. I suppose they're still getting their money from soccer moms and Gamestop fanboys.

Nail on the head. And all those idiots who hand Microsoft their CC information and have it automatically resubscribe them...Nothing's quite like getting no discount for "pre-ordering" an Xbox Live subscription.
Does amazon tax California now? I haven't bought anything from amazon in awhile.
Amazon will start charging tax for California in Sept
is the xbox live gold region free?
Yes it is. It's only the MS points that are region locked.

Right around the time they jacked the price, MS offered a one-time autorenewal at 29.99. I bit, but left an expired cc on the account. It's going to renew next month on the 10th, so I plan on updating the card the day before, then immediately cancelling autorenew and removing the card data after it hits. I think that should qualify me as not-an-idiot, at least in this case... :applause:

I screwed up. Last week I cancelled auto-renew and right after i did that, I realized I hadn't had this renew yet.

At the same time I just renewed a 12 month card I found in a moving box that I paid 30ish for, and have one from ebay the other day in the mail, so I am not to distraught.
