At last the time come to give this fine equine specimen some long overdue recognition.

Even though this noble steed has not been seen since the 2006 Royal Rumble...

...where he scared the hair off of Kurt Angle, he has continued to lurk in the shadows, awaiting the day he is called upon to return!

That time draws near, and perhaps The Undertaker will call upon his secret weapon: The Mighty Horse, to defeat the evil Triple H once and for all at Wrestlemania 28!

Did Rey surrender the Mysterio name and likeness to the E? If he indeed goes elsewhere in the business for a paycheck, I don't think he could really draw or grab the merchandise sales without the specific mask. All speculative but I really don't need to see Filthy Animals-era Rey Rey come out of the mothballs.

it's so hard to imagine that he's only 5 years older than me and probably has a harder time getting out of bed than I do

A quick search of the US Trademark office says that "Rey Mysterio" is trademarked to the WWE with Oscar Gutierrez's consent. However, I could easily see him going back to the previous spelling "Rey Misterio" with very little trouble - no trademarks for that one.
Why does this thread get recreated so often when others go into the hundreds?
Because some people feel the need to stroke their E-peen with witty and comical thread titles? Then again, more often than not they are friggin stupid as hell: ie, look at this one.
Why does this thread get recreated so often when others go into the hundreds?
Same rule as the OTT. Each thread gets to 500 posts before a new one is created so the site doesn't have to index 200 pages every time you open it.

I've never understood this either. The mods have said to keep the threads at 500. OTT is the same way.

On the topic of Rey Mysterio.. The annual Carl Casper auto show is coming up soon (I know you remember those, Myke) and guess who's signing autographs? Let the photo speak for itself (circa stock photo 2007):

I'd guess their relationship is rocky, as it is.

Also, on the idea of the GM match being a ladder match - it makes perfect sense. Train Teddy to climb a ladder and have Laurinitis do the dive off the ladder to give Teddy the win. There's no way Teddy could take that bump, but I'd be Johnny Ace would have no real problem at all.

But why does that rule not apply to several other threads?
Is it time for White Trash Bonanza '12 already? Good God, some of the people that go to that show... I've not been for a few years because I couldn't stand to be around all those inbreds.

Because we're mature enough to manage our own thread despite the discussion of sweaty dudes in spandex.

Nah, I never spent much time in Louisville (where the auto show is, yeah?), so I honestly can't say I've ever heard of it.

WWE financials are in. They lost $14 million in Q4 2011. Attributable to WWE Films and WWE Network costs.

I didn't dive in much, and most of the dirt sheets are writing about things other than PPV buys, ticket sales, and the like (i.e., if the claims of the movie studio and network are the only source contributing to the loss).

Asked about the Q4 losses, a source who wished to remain anonymous was quoted as saying:

I swear
I just imagine him walking around yelling Damn at every objectionable thing in the office. Also occasionally giving people that sick, sick spinebuster when they walk in his general direction while the APA theme blares over the intercom.

Ha!

Brian in Creative?

*SPINEBUSTER!*

Jane in accounting?

*SPINEBUSTER!*

Lloyd in HR?

*SPINEBUSTER!*

Licensing? IT? Custodial Services?

*SPINEBUSTER!*
*SPINEBUSTER!*
*SPINEBUSTER!*

Haha, yeah.. it's at the Kentucky Fairgrounds and Exposition Center. The people that go are.. well.. the stereotypical WWE demographic.
I was hoping to see the Wrestlemania sign point thread.

What a disappointment.
I agree, and that was the planned next thread scheme. However, this is what happens when non regulars snatch the thread.

I suppose we have to accept it, since it's been force fed to us with no other options.

After all, he's Vince McMahon, damn it.

Yeah, I guess I better stop making my derogatory comments or I may be forced to join that "exclusive" club of his. You know the one....

Two things:

Smackdown did a 1.7 rating, the lowest since 9/16/11, which was the go-home show for Night Of Champions and also "Edge Appreciation Night". Wonder if having it live and announcing a champion v champion match the night before had anything to do with that.

Eve tweeted to Ryder "I miss you." Let's see if they erase the whole heel Eve angle.

"James Storm like beer, I like beer. We had beer. It was great. Bully spit beer in my face." - 90 percent accurate Brandon Jacobs quote from Impact.

Being live makes Smackdown infinitely more watchable to me since that awful canned crowd reaction that gets super glued into the show a hundred times an episode is nowhere in sight. I truly wish Smackdown would be live all the time. Then again, Sin Cara (when he returns) on live TV...

BTW, Undertaker's horse is now the super glue that the WWE uses to paste said canned crowd reaction into taped Smackdowns. The more you know.
Way to close the old thread and not link the new one whoever did that.
Yup.

Good money says one of the regs hides behind this alternate account to try to be funny (and fails miserably).

Forced? I have a wonderful ass!
I thought it was common belief that it was Zenithian Legend's account started after he got banned.
I don't even remember who that is. If you say so, I'll go with it.

I think he had a horse avatar

He wasn't always bad. It's easy to remember him when he was going out of his way to get banned, but his contributions here were good.

There were a few people who were 100% assholes. Zen Davis and his iterations come to mind, but I truthfully can't think of many others.

I agree with that. He's the reason I became aware of ROH and started watching it. I have to be grateful for that at least.
Hah, I kind of remember that clown now. A horse's ass was he. IIRC, he took the wrestling threads waaaaay too seriously.
I think he was the one that Brak kept challenging to a fistfight, but ZL never accepted the challenge.

 Good ol' Brak.

Challenging someone to a fistfight in a wrasslin thread is signs that you are taking this shit way to seriously.
