Anyone know if I can get 20 dollars back since I bought the game less than 2 weeks ago with credit when it was still 79.99. Should I email them?

Yes, I'm pretty sure they offer price adjustments within that time frame. Don't quote me though, I might be wrong. However, I would try anyways.

Amazon does not offer "Price Matching," however you can contact Customer Service via chat and see if they could at least compensate you with some kind of promo credit. FYI, the following is from their website in "Pricing" under "Help."

Price Matching

With the exception of TVs, Amazon.com doesn't price-match with other retailers (including those who sell their items on our website). We do, however, consistently work toward maintaining competitive prices on everything we carry.
 
wow! amazon lost a sale. got mine last week at best buy. got the one with the novella so all is good.
 
Tempting, but I still feel like I can get this one cheaper... plus I don't think I'll be playing this anytime soon even if I did grab it.

Hmmm very tempting... but I think it will go lower soon and there's already 3 games I want coming out in March.

It would be amazing if it somehow wound up on Amazon gold box event tomorrow but that just wishful thinking sadly.

It's just that the OP posted in the original thread and then a few minutes later started a new thread. Seems like double-posting/cross-posting. Which I thought was frowned on CAG but clearly I'm mistaken.

You can't expect people to read through pages to find out that Amazon has it at that price too. If the OP of the GS thread had updated his title and OP with the Amazon info and links then I'd agree with you but he didn't, so the OP of this thread was right to make a new thread and you need to chill.

My original bite point was 49.99. And Amazon still has over 999 in stock. But seeing the next seller at 122$ is kinda irking me here.

i was waiting for amazon to go down... but i was really hoping they would go 49.99 instead of price match gs ... well one more hope.. come on newegg...dare to be different... or surprise me with skyrim ce cheaper... (and my bb is on the other side of town and always sells out on ce/ le/ whatever other edition before price drops) .... or could it be 49.99 amazon gold box ..nah lol
 
so I chatted with amazon to try to get a price match they said to return it....what a hassle. Since I used amazon credit on my order I get it back if I return my item right?

I thought the same thing as i dont normally buy CEs unless there is a steelbook but the soundtrack is pretty nice though. Even if it isn't Nobuo Uematsu.
 
It does bug me that the packaging itself is what holds the discs. I wish it had a separate case within or has something like the cool steelbook case.
 
I'm personally a fan of the book like structure. It'll go well with my Alan Wake, Two Worlds, and Fable 3 LEs.

But I do enjoy steelbooks too.

Did they offer to pay return shipping? I was thinking of just doing this anyways as paying the $4 to ship it back would still be shipping. But it'd be cool if they'd cover it.
 
I guess I got really lucky and the person gave me $20 in promo credit no problem. I was expecting to plead my case, but they agreed right off the bad.

Did you call or chat with them? Also would it matter if I tried again maybe I'll get lucky....its such a hassle to ship it back then order it again.
 
No luck with me also through Chat. Was told to return and rebuy but I will get the full refund. I'm actually thinking about just returning it and not buying again since I was able to sell the preorder DLC for $35 and haven't even touch the game yet.

Did it through chat and you may have some luck, but amazon keeps a log of all the chats so the new person may see you contacted them earlier and give you the same response. But it couldn't hurt. After this attempt I would just let it go if they don't give you it.

Generally no, and if you received free super saver shipping they'll deduct the shipping cost from the refund too. So you're probably only looking at a saving of 9-10 dollars then. Plus the time you dealt with it.

Tempting deal though, but I hated FFXIII. I heard good things about this but I'm not sure I can trust them quite yet.
