I just picked one up in store, glad I didn't buy this from amazon, I had the powerup card which saved extra 10% so total came out to 14.XX for me

Are these guides worthwhile getting for fighting games? I'm not very good at fighting games in general, but you can just look up the combos in game. Anyone else have this and find it useful at all?

I'd buy that for a dollar!

The primary reason would be for frame data. It gives you a solid understanding of how long each attack takes to strike your opponent after you've pressed the button, as well as how long it takes for you to regain control of your character after the attack has finished. That being said, the 1.02 patch recently was released for the game which made about 240 modifications to the game, so there's a good number of attacks that have had their frame data altered since the guide was published. Some combos that use to work no longer connect because of those changes.

Most of the changes you'll probably only notice if you pay a great deal of attention to the technical side of the game. The guide still has a lot to offer beyond that though for the more casual players such as general strategies etc..

With the upcoming B2G1, get the game used and the SG is 20% off. Big savings.

this one does NOT have the soundtrack...unlike previous SC guides that had the soundtrack as it now on the CE version of the game.

Wouldnt the guide kind of be useless considering that massive patch they had to balance (AKA nerf 90% of the cast)

Good deal but I already bought it when it was $15 3 weeks ago. I should've waited. :(
