This one is by far my favorite. Even non wrestling fans appreciate this interview. (the subtitles are stupid and take away from the interview BTW)

I switched it on for a few minutes and it was the Lord Tensai squash of the week, you could have heard a pin drop.

Probably not a good indicator of the whole show though.

Just checked in in Hampton VA with Sheamus and the lady behind the desk asked us where we were from. Sheamus said England and Ireland .She said to me "You're the Irish one,I can tell because your accent is so strong". I said in my most cut glass English accent"I can see nothing gets past you madam". She said "I'm brilliant at spotting accents". She then says that she has put our rooms next to each other and I said "I'd rather not be close to him madam as he and the rest of those English swines and his country have made my people suffer for 800 years". She said "Oh yes,I know my history" and looked at Sheamus like he'd dropped out of a dogs backside and changed my room. Bless her. The great white just stood looking at me like he wanted to do me some mischief.

...yes, aside from the LOUD "Allllllll-bert" chants.

There was a minor "Yes" chant when DB was in with everyone else at the beginning to break up the Cena/Lesnar fight but it was nowhere near last week's. There were a lot of signs in the crowd for him though.

Crowd wasn't quite as pro-Lesnar/anti-Cena as last week but Brock still got a noticable positive reaction when he attacked Cena and during his backstage promo when he talked about Cena not being able to carry his jock and how he won the UFC title.

Why did it take a year to build to Cena/Rock and three weeks to build to Cena/Lesnar?

Also, Scott Hall was arrested again on the 6th in Florida.

Because Lesnar has absolutely nothing better to do. Rock made Fast Five, Journey 2, and GI Joe 2.

So sounds to me like The Rock didn't really have anything "better" to do either.

Fair points, but I just don't think Lesnar's first match back should be rushed that quickly. His return was huge and the crowd loved it, but they mentioned the actual match in a throwaway line from Johnny Ace. I'd much rather have seen Lesnar be the silent "war machine" picking apart the roster that he was years ago and building towards a match with Cena in May rather than blowing the return against Cena right away.

Shitty Metaphor of the week:

"The Rock is the band-aid for the "cut" that WWE gave us duing the Summer of Punk angle and after watching this year's Wrestlemania, the cut became infected so they give us Brock Lesnar."

So, Cena had to job to the Rock because honestly, who would buy him as a credible "action star" if he lost a fake match to a wrassler. So, are they going to make Cena job to Lesnar as well? I mean, Lesnar is supposedly bringing "credibility" back to the company. Not to mention, it would kind of look bad for a real fighter like Lesnar to lose to a "wrassler" wouldn't it?

Scott Hall was arrested last Friday in Florida following a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend, reports TMZ.com.

According to an arrest report obtained by the website, Hall allegedly choked out his girlfriend in a drunken fit of rage. Hall's girlfriend Lisa Howell says he had been drinking "for days" when they got into an argument Friday evening.

Howell says she got into her car to drive away from the residence, and in a blind rage, Hall grabbed her by the throat and tried to pull her out of the driver's seat. When confronted by police, Hall appeared heavily intoxicated with an "unknown white secretion flowing from both sides of his mouth." He denied getting violent.

Police observed several signs of physical injury on Howell, including red marks around her neck, so Hall was placed under arrest for domestic battery. His arrest required two sets of handcuffs due to his large stature.

Hall could not be immediately booked in jail because he was too intoxicated. He was taken to a nearby hospital to receive medical clearance before he was booked in Seminole County's John E. Polk Correctional Facility.

Howell has refused to press charges against Hall. TMZ says it's unclear if the case will move forward in court.

Fuck that. Press charges since he's gotta be under probation by now; him drying out for a year or two in jail is his best bet to save his life. This shit is depressing.

kinda curious what move he used to choke her out with....if youre gonna date a wrestler you should try and learn as many counter moves as possible just in case that way she could have broken out of it and maybe given him a hip toss into an armbar.

Oh man, that bit by Regal is hilarious. I think I broke a rib while laughing.

Ken Shamrock was a real fighter too...

Different era, different person.

Shamrock worked for WWE in an era prior to a.) the Internet, b.) MMA being recognized as a legitimate sport, and c.) I doubt Lesnar agreed to be jobbed out to someone like Cena.

Lesnar, in general, drew more eyes to the UFC and made them more money than Shamrock did.

I actually found it odd how WWE let Michael Cole speak about his UFC career. Ya know, a company that has legit hurt WWE's business. Then again, Dana and Vince are supposedly business buds, and perhaps, in this instance, Vince doesn't feel paranoid and a need to be a control freak.

But, you have to wonder how many kids will turn to MMA because of this appearance by Lesnar. Sorta feels like how TNA let WWE use Flair—except WWE is TNA.

And if anything, Lesnar should have hit Cena harder.

While most of the people in some of the photos are pretty easy to make out who they are(that first one showing a much younger Jim Ross with I think Brian Pillman in the background with Sting and two guys I don't recognize offhand), some other ones are a bit confusing as to who they are.

Dean Ambrose got a physical this morning from WWE doctors. Here's to hoping he'll be on the main roster soon.

I can say I wouldn't put Lesnar in an MMA Hall of Fame and that he had a mediocre career. But, Lesnar had a tough route to the UFC heavyweight title.

For a former farm boy, who only had good wrestling credentials and didn't train long in all areas, he fought and beat Frank Mir (who has the best jiujitsu at heavyweight and is still a title contender), Randy Couture (who is one of a few people to hold two titles in two different weight classes), and Shane Carwin (top heavyweight with incredible power).

Lesnar didn't fight cans or weaker fighters to pad his record. He went to the UFC to fight, and I commend him.

For a dude who started life as just a farm boy, his career in wrasslin and MMA has been impressive. If he didn't have to fight diverticulitis, I think it's a safe bet that his MMA career would have been different. He went off for surgery during the height of his career and never returned to form.

And there is no shame in losing to Cain Velasquez (title contender), Frank Mir (title contender), and Alistair Overeem (title contender).

I'm not really an MMA fan but I really loved seeing a guy from the "fake" sport go in and smash people up. I'll always be a professional wrestling fan first because while the good memories may be few and far between nowadays, I can't imagine the thrills of MMA ever topping my favorite wrestling moments of the past.

Following the return of Brock Lesnar, this past Monday’s edition of WWE Raw scored a 3.1 cable rating. This is down from last week's 3.43 rating. The show did 4.29 million viewers, down from 5.01 million last week.
