This is the high level game i wanted to see Kaepernick in to see if hes a Playoff caliber QB. Our defense almost made this into one of the most bitter losses of the season by giving up 4 unanswered TD's.

How is it that our Punt Return/Special Team is still shaky AS Fuck in week 15? I hold my breath every time.

Can't wait for the week long "Dallas is elite, super bowl bound" herp derp thats about to happen.

Also just give AP that damn MVP trophy. Another 200+ yard game against a NFC west defense no less.

Brady just led 4 unanswered TD drives vs the NFC West defense. He single handedly made that a game. He already scored 4 TD's, put up 45 points on that other NFC West defense you're talking about. Nevermind what he did to Houston.

Oh you mean those tds against that soft as shit conservative zone d/prevent d garbage.

Harbaugh should be ashamed of himself if he lost. Classic example of playing not to lose instead of playing to win.

He also threw two pretty bad picks which helped to create the hole in the first place. Obviously I think Brady belongs in the MVP conversation, but I can't see any way that tonight helped his candidacy. If the Pats had won, maybe.

I've had the feeling that if AP breaks the rushing record and the Vikings make the playoffs, it's his. If not, then it would go to whichever of Brady or Manning got his team a bye.

It's far from over, but after today's action I'd have to think Brady is in 3rd position.

You seriously don't think his 2nd half demonstrates exactly why he is the MVP? Down 28, which is the NFL record in the regular season for a deficit overcome, and he ties it in 10 minutes. Without his #1 weapon, bad field position, dropped passes, all kinds of adversity.

2nd pick wasn't on him, went off the receivers hands and up in the air.

Yeah, both Manning and AP have the comeback against all odds story in their favor whereas Brady just keeps doing his thing. Not trying to take anything away from him at all, I'm just saying that the "story" that goes with AP and Manning both will be more attractive as a choice.

AP has the better "story" to me. Seems like just yesterday he tore the ACL (dont know if it was both or not) and somehow he seems to be faster than before considering his position. But knowing the NFL they'll give it to the good ol QBS. Hell just for the ultimate troll they could give it to Matty derp ICE.

I have a hard time putting the 2nd pick on him when it looked like one of those arcade plays from NFL Blitz with how many different players and body parts it touched.

I'll agree that AP has MVP at this point though, those rushing numbers are insane and he IS the Vikings offense right now. Without him, the Vikings are easily one of the 5 worst NFC teams.

Hmmmm. I don't even really think of AP for MVP. I do think he is definitely comeback player of the year, you don't have seasons like this after major knee surgery. Hell, he shouldn't even have been back is early playing at all.

I'll have to go back and watch it again, but from what I recall he tried to throw the bubble screen to Hernandez when two defenders were already almost on top of him. Yeah, it's more likely Hernandez will catch it and be tackled for a loss or the ball will fall incomplete harmlessly, but it was still an ill-advised throw.

For some reason I was extremely confident the 49ers would win last night. Brady certainly took it to them in the 2nd half, though.

That ten minute comeback to tie the game was damn exciting.... only to have all that excitement gone in two plays.

Oh and god if Rex Ryan isn't fired after this then god knows what it'll take to see him gone as the Jets coach. Not that I'm complaining since watching the Jets fail is great comedy.

New sig coming soon.

Tebow: 0-1 in passes for 0 yards—yet still had a higher quarterback rating (39) than Sanchez (32). Let that sink in.

Sanchez throws 2 fairly nice passes, bring in Tebow!

Sanchez throws pick, then pick, then pick, tell him to keep throwing.

Well, looks like Strahan's sack record is going to get beat by the end of the season. J.J. Watt and Aldon Smith are both 3 sacks away from tying it. I think both will probably break it but with J.J. getting to feast on Christian Ponder and then Andrew Luck again, I think he's gonna have the higher sack count when it's all said and done.

It's easy to tell that Rex Ryan hates Tim Tebow with every fiber of his being, though he won't be able to do much about it once he's fired in a few weeks.

The Browns shitcanned CB Dmitri Patterson after the Redskins game, which was kind of a surprise. That means that it's time for Buster Skrine to step up as the nickel corner, which he did in Patterson's absence for most of the season with good results as he lead the team in tackles during that stint. He was practically everywhere when a play needed to be made, so this seems like a step up.

Unfortunately, TJ Ward and James Michael-Johnson were placed on IR with injuries that will keep them out longer than the season will last, so there's a bit of turnover in the secondary and linebacking cores right now. This should be a good chance for LJ Fort to re-emerge so we can see if he can play as well as he did early this season.

Always gets me since this isn't the BCS and everything meaningful is based off team win records. I think it's simply there so fans can have another statistic to whip out their proverbial dicks about.

Jon Kitna's now coaching at his old high school and teaches algebra to the worst students in the school, which is quite a fascinating story.

That's actually really cool. Good for him for giving back. If I was ever able to make a living playing football professionally I'd love nothing more to be able to do something like he's doing post retirement.

Good read, I applaud him for giving back and teaching under achieving students. Another thing I found interesting from that article was he made only 20 million in 16 years, that seems a little low for a QB pay grade, specially when he was a starter for a good bit of his career. I mean Payton and Brandy makes that in a single year.
