Ahhh, we will see. They are 3-0 in games that I attended in California. Something has to give. I like that the 49ers are favored, I like being the underdog. It will be a fun trip to go on either way. Best of luck, 9ers fans.

I bought my tickets for Packers - 49ers. Its a 9 hour drive, I am leaving late late friday night. in the two Packers playoff games I have gone to, they are 0-2 and both losses happened in OT (2008 NFC Championship game and Wild Card Game @ Arizona)

That's awesome! Enjoy yourself! Just try to avoid getting shot, or stabbed, or gang beat in the parking lot.

Only favored cause home teams get an automatic 3 points factored in, so the game is essentially a "pick-em".

I also expect every expert to pick the Packers, so the 49ers can easily look at themselves as the underdogs as well.

I see Jerry Jones is up to his usual fire brigade and place blame with everyone but him for not hiring a GM to redo this team thats obviously not going anywhere anytime soon

RGIII will need surgery and will be out 6-8 months for recovery. Who knows how long he will be out until he is ready to take hits and toss the old Pigskin around.

Now that Chip Kelly's not going to the NFL, the media that covers the Browns are scrambling like chickens with their heads cut off to figure out who they're actually going to hire for sure. I've seen at least six names thrown around and I'm sure there will be more until they figure it all out.

Including the Panthers' offensive coordinator. That just reeks of desperation.

Do kids today still root for the Cowboys even though they have never set foot in Texas?

I've never been to Dallas and I didn't set foot in Texas until 2007.

Anyways, when I first started rooting for Dallas I was 6 and just followed my uncle who was a Cowboys fan, been a fan since then.

Rob Chudzinski is the new Cleveland Browns coach. Our D has been on the up the past couple years, hopefully he'll have our O looking like the Browns of 07 again.

Not 100 percent, but good chance.

I think the Cowboys hiring of Monte Kiffin as DC is a great move, but he will not be running his Tampa 2 defense.

There are those who said this day would never come. What are they to say now?

He won't be running any defense if the defense continues to be made of paper and silly putty. Seriously, I want to see the numbers Sean Lee can put up if he isn't injured for over half the season. He has the potential to be the league's best linebacker, but wonky injures continue to sideline him.

Picks for this weekend. Going with all the home teams again. Seattle's the hot team but I think Atlanta finds a way to win. Seattle plays very physical and I think it might be catching up to them in addition to the back to back cross country games.

The Niners beat the Packers based on the upperhand in the trenches. If Justin Smith can play and be efficient, it would a big plus.

I'm going with Seattle and Green Bay in the NFC and then New England and Denver in the AFC (to both cover too). I have a feeling the 49ers will wish they had Alex Smith and his ball control after it's all said and done. Also, no Justin Smith is HUGE - I think he will play be be a non-factor other than orchestrating the defense (which I admit is a big deal). I think the Seahawks are great and have blowout potential and I think Atlanta are total frauds who got extremely lucky this year to finish 13-3 when they seem more like a 10-6 team.

My Picks:

Baltimore over Denver in an upset. I like Denver, but I wouldn't be shocked if this game comes down to a last second field goal.

New England over Houston. This will be a repeat of their regular season match-up. Easy win the Pats.

49ers over Green Bay. I think this will be pretty close, but the injuries of the Packers will be the key here. Plus, they won't be facing Joe Webb at QB.

Seattle over Atlanta. Atlanta is one and done again. I like Seattle's defense to cause Ryan problems all game long.

As long as Flacco doesn't throw any more 99yd TAINTs, the Ravens will win.

NE > HOU: Closer, but still not close.
ATL > SEA: Atlanta's due. No one believes in them. Their defense has been huge in big games all year.
BAL > DEN: I don't trust Peyton Manning to have a good game here.
SF > GB: 49ers are a worse team with Kapernick, but are still better than Green Bay.
