Good deal on a 3DS. Tempted to trade in a bunch of my stuff to get it.

I'm thinking they're trying to get rid of all the 3DS stock they can, I'm suspecting we'll see a 3DS "slim" with the 2nd analog stick mentioned at E3..

Just go with this deal and pick a color and when the 20th comes bring back that 3DS and exchange it with the 'Midnight Purple' color. Since it will be with in the 30-Day Return/Exchange Policy.

Genius!
I may just do this. That color looks very cool for some reason.

That is a good idea, though I might wait and see if anybody is doing a deal with the purple 3DS and Mario Tennis.

Buy 1 Get 1 40% OFF on video games $19.99 and less (discounted item must be equal or less value)

The other deals:

Just Dance 3 :wii::ps3::360: $24.99

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games :wii: $29.99

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 :wii::ps3::360: $19.99

FIFA Street :ps3::360: $39.99

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary :360: $19.99

From my previous purchase experience, I believe Halo: CEA and LEGO HP: Years 5-7 can be combined with the B1G40%OFF offer, but of course it's always up to your local stores.

Considering only two of the games listed are $19.99 or under, I'm gonna go with all games.

For the B1G1 40%, the original price of the games have to be $19.99, not the sale price.

What does it mean buy 1 get 1 40%? Does it mean that if I buy halo anniversary I'll get 40% off another game $19.99 or above?

Not sure if anyone has experience with this but I figured this would be the right forum/thread to ask this question:

I bought a 3DS as a gift about two weeks ago for my nephew. I know that Best Buy has a 30 day exchange policy that would typically cover the difference if the price of the 3DS were advertised as lower, but because this is a freebie deal I'm not sure if I can get them to give me the two games for free. I have already given him the 3DS and he has opened and played many hours on it, so returning it and re-buying is not an option.

Does anyone know if I'll be able to go in with my receipt and have them honor this deal, seeing as it is within the 30 day exchange window, or am I SOL.

Thanks in advance.

I would think that would really be based on the Manager at the store. You can always return the system even if it is open within that 30 days window. Now what you could do is take the receipt there once the deal starts, explain to the manager that it was a gift and that it is already open and everything. More likely then not the manager would help out and return the system then sell it back with the games. The problem is the serial number that they need. It is honestly best to ask first and see what they can do, or what you have to do. And I am a best buy employee in the games department. Just to give you an idea of how much some stores can work with you.

I haven't heard of a B1G1 % off deal that had a price restriction (games under $19.99 in this instance) BUT also excluded games that were under the price restriction due to a sale.

I could understand if it said all "Superbuys" or whatever TRU calls their budget games but that is kind of shitty to market it like that

Why not just buy a new system with the two free games and then return the system with the old receipt. That way you don't have to hassle with return/rebuy with only the receipt or need a manager approval, etc.

The system will apply the B1G1 part of the sale to any games before any price reductions due to sales, not after. This is why any game on "sale" for $19.99 won't qualify.

I forgot that TRU has backwards POS software that often times won't display the accurate price of an item (sale, clearance, etc.) until all items are totaled.

Because consoles have unique serial numbers and the serial numbers on the receipt won't match up to the console he is returning.

As far as I know, you cannot combine coupons with price matches.
