Did you get your XP? Routt made the pro bowl (as did Succop) but I didn't get a bonus :cry:


Yep I believe he got 75 k for that award.

Just a heads up for anyone who does CCM offline. There's a glitch that will ruin your cap space for an entire year. You'll go to 1.3 billion above the cap and wont be able to sign anyone. It seems EA has known about this since November and only fixed it on the online CCM. So if you plan to play CCM, do it online ONLY.

Great thing to get hit by when youre in your 5th year of a franchise. Friggin EA. Argh

This game would be better without XP. If EA puts in the option to turn it off next season, we will.

I like xp and the ability to make players better... just foster and rice at 97 plus speed is a head scratcher

I like it too in theory, but the problem has always been that it widens the gap between the elite players and everyone else. It also gives incentive to people to run up these unrealistic numbers with single guys in order to create super players.

There's really no better example of why it's a flawed system than Doom being able to boost Foster to 99 speed.

I don't know if I'm hoping that they remove it entirely, but I do hope they give leagues more options to put controls, etc on it. Right now it's like the Wild West.

How did he do that? I know that whenever I look at it for say MJD, it's like 70,000XP to raise it by one. Is there some trick I don't know?

Also, if anyone is following Manti Ta'o, apparently he is claiming that the hoax was pulled on him. If so, how do you not realize something is up in the first few weeks/months/years?

No trick, Doom just runs the ball well.

I like having XP in the game and feel like it works for 90% of us. I still don't know how the hell they get 40k a game, maybe there is a trick to it.

I like the idea of determining how to improve your players but speed shouldn't be an attribute that is at all adjustable, imho. I don't dislike XP but you shouldn't be able to create super players

This is pretty much exactly how I feel. I like it for being able to boost a guy's run block, etc, or fine tune players better to fit your scheme... But being able to boost a guy's speed to such heights just makes it feel so unrealistic.

I think they tried to cap how much someone could do that by making the intangible traits hard to increase. I agree though, anything that can't be taught shouldn't be able to be boosted.

Clearly they didn't do enough.

It's nothing Doom did wrong, he's using the system wisely, but people who don't put up those insane stats are definitely at a huge disadvantage when it comes to improving their players.

I think in addition to not being able to boost things like speed (which I agree with 100%), eliminating XP boosts for the end-of-season awards and the pro bowl would be a start. The players who rack up big stats already get a lot of in-game XP, and then it basically gets doubled at the end of the season.

My team is a good example: Last year I only had one good outside receiver, Demaryius Thomas, and he got the ball a ton and made the Pro Bowl. Huge XP boost. This season I added Jackson, my offense overall was much better, but because the targets get spread out it's less overall XP. Same thing with using a timeshare at HB. So really it makes throwing it or running it exclusively with one guy a more appealing option and discourages running a balanced offense.

Guys don't get more athletic when they get to the NFL but skill sets are obviously fine-tuned. Maybe they should determine some of the attributes to be "coachable" (man coverage, run blocking, route running, block shedding) and allow those alone to be increased by XP.

The perfect solution would be to give the commissioners the option to set both XP rates and also what stats can be raised, that way each league could decide what they wanted. They really stripped away the ability of commissioners to do anything this year though, so I'm not at all confident of them putting that in.

you have to remember before XP players like RG3 even if they did nothing all year even if he threw 40 INT he would jump from an 83 to a 90 and by his 3rd year probably be a 99. so i like XP because you actually have to do well with a player to boost there skills. I do agree with not being able to boost speed and stuff because players normally dont get faster lol

I don't understand how MJD can have 1,400yrds and miss the pro bowl, but Tobias Brey can have 663 and make the pro bowl.

At least Mincey made it.

ok i figured as much but in the other league i think they did it partial thru playoffs wasnt sure if we did that to since it seems like it was so long ago. gives me 3 or 4 days to put some soild trades thru

Factor in season goals, boosted RB XP, Pro Bowl and MVP and that is an excessive amount
