There was no Super Bowl hangover for the Cardinals as they win in convincing fashion over the Falcons in Atlanta, 49 to 3. There was a lot to be excited for with new starting quarterback, Blaine Gabbert, as he did well and amassed 6 touchdowns, to 6 different receivers, on the day. However, he lived on the big play and good field position. Gabbert does need to become more consistent as he only finished with a 56% completion percentage, learning to sustain drives will be the next step in his development.

On defense, there really was not much to complain about for Arizona. On the day, they forced 2 fumbles and intercepted 5 passes. They only allowed Matt Ryan to complete 7 passes for 118 yards, and 52 of them were on a 75 yard hail marry attempt before half. It's safe to say the improvements on defense are going well to start the season.

Offensive Player of the Game: ARZ QB, Blaine Gabbert- 14/25 for 249 yards with 6 touchdowns and 1 interception for a qb rating of 113.1. Gabbert added 40 yards on the ground as well.
Defensive Player of the Game: ARZ CB, Gary Crow- 1 tackle, 1 pass defended and 2 interceptions
Special Teams Player of the Game: ARZ CB, Patrick Peterson- 2 KR for 66 yards(33 Avg) 4 PR for 130 yards(32.5 Avg)

3:30 left in the game with a big lead and still going for the endzone with a pass. 2:20 seconds left in the game lets run it to the outside then get stopped before scoring and well Fuck go ahead and score anyways. im glad i ran out the clock becuz it was clear ur werent going to. so many options there like taking a knee then kicking a FG but no one cares about there kickers XP right ;) just the other players. i get it ur really good at madden didnt need to see u score more to realize it. i believe u oly ran it 3 or 4 times in the 4th quarter as well. plus good runs with gabbert 4 wide taking off with him after 2 seconds (none designed qb runs)

Chiefs shake off the rust and get a victory against the Colts 35-21. In the first quarter the Chiefs started off hot, scoring twice and forcing two turnovers on the first two Colts plays. Up 14-0 with the ball the Chiefs failed to go up by 3 scores and the Colts eventually tied it up going into halftime.

The Colts scored quickly in the 3rd going up 21-14. Kansas City was able to put up 3 unanswered TD's to seal the game.

Luck - 210 yards 3TD/3INT
Weeden - 64 yards 1TD/1INT

Charles - 139 yards, 4TD, 1 Fumble (99 carry, fumbles every game!)
Hillis - 13 yards, 0TD, 1 Fumble

Manningham 6 Rec, 154 yards, 2 TDs
Bowe - 3 Rec, 18 yards

I threw 2 passes in the fourth. The very first play of the fourth from inside my 15. It was a play action to the fullback for about 2 yards. Then on 3rd and 7 i threw a slant from my 10 that scored. You proceeded to come out turn the ball over fairly quickly. My first play, i ran a stretch play from around midfield to my backup. It goes the the 1 and i was pushed out. There was about 2:20 left. I ran a dive up the middle, loss 2 yards. 2 minute warning and you still have all 3 timeouts and at that point did not show any type of want to run out the clock. So i did a run instead of kneeling and scored. If you wanted the game to be over, send a pm or a xbl message. Or just show with your actions before the last drive that your done.

When would you have? First down, i run to the 1. Go out of bounds. Clock stops. First down, run up the middle at 2:20. Clock stops because of 2 minute warning. You know what would have stopped all of this? Pause the game during the two minute warning after i ran on first down and say i dont plan on using my timeouts, you can end the game. Like i said, if you were playing the game like you wanted it to end or informed me that you wanted it to end then i would have ran out the clock.

if you ran the ball with 2:20 left, DVO could've called a timeout before the 2 minute warning after the HB dive... that seems like he was telling you thru his actions he wasn't going to use them.

Great game droppinloadz! You scared me with that comeback towards the end!

Also, my Rookie 3rd Round pick QB looked great with a 151 passer ratting!

So, if I'm reading this right, you were up 42-3 when this happened? I know I'm not in this league any more but holy Fuck thats a douche move to do anything on third down other than kneel. Up 40 points and you score again? When you're up by that much it shouldnt matter how many timeouts DVO has, you take the knee on third down and kick the FG.

Denver Broncos 48 - San Diego Chargers 7

The Broncos opened up their season strong with a big win over division rival San Diego at home. Their offense was a bit rusty in the early going, but got it going big time later, and the defense picked up right where it left off - especially since San Diego came in with a completely one-dimensional gameplan which played right into the Broncos' strengths.

Osweiler was solid after an early pick, completing 9 of 14 passes for 113 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT.

Tanner Hurns threw on almost every down, and was pretty awful. 8 of 30 for 201 yards, 1 TD and 5 picks. He finally got a long TD in the fourth quarter, but also took 7 sacks.

McFadden started with a strong performance, carrying 17 times for 133 yards and a TD before leaving the game when the lead got big. McGahee had a solid 7 carries for 31 yards. But it was rookie HB Johnathon Seaver (my 3rd round pick IIRC) who really impressed, carrying 8 times for 78 yards and 2 TDs. The Broncos backfield looks like a strength once again.

The Chargers ran the ball once, a run for no gain by Mathews.

The Broncos debuted their new 2-TE offense, and both guys managed to find the endzone, with Julius Thomas (2 catches, 33 yards) and Tony Gonzalez (2 catches, 24 yards) both scoring. It was a pretty quiet day for the WRs, as the Broncos spread it around a lot.

Titus Young lead the Chargers with 3 catches for 106 yards and a TD, which came on a 78-yarder late as he got loose up the middle.

It was a huge debut for the Broncos' ferocious pass rush, as Von Miller had 3 sacks, including a forced fumble. Jaron Archer also had 3 of his own, and scooped Miller's strip sack and rumbled it back for a TD. Not to be forgotten, Dumervil also had a sack of his own. I also got Osi some play since the lack of diversity allowed me to debut a pure pass-rush set, which was pretty effective. Joe Haden had 3 picks, and Rahim Moore had the other two. Other than one play, pretty much a perfect performance from the D.

The Chargers got a nice user pick from Shaun Phillips (who then got hurt), but otherwise couldn't do too much on defense, though they did slow McFadden down early.

gg Cheesy!

Like I said in my message, if you don't start running the ball you're going to be looking at a lot of box scores like this one. Even if it's just occasionally to make your opponent respect it. If I know you're going to be passing every single time I don't need to think about anything except pass rushing you into oblivion. I don't mind giving a bit of free advice to a division opponent. :D

I can honestly say this without any ill will meant... I Hope i never have to fucking play you again! Between balls bouncing off my kick returners helmets, or your Wr's making my best cb's look like 60 ovr scrubs.... i felt like a child playing in the NBA.

Good Game to you. But may that team rot in the NFC forever, and may we never meet again.

I think Mile High posted this before we exchanged XBL messages, but I didn't disconnect. My Xbox froze right after he did a QB kneel with just over 1 minute remaining and he was up by 14, as he said. I took a pic of the frozen screen just in case.
