Gamefly 20% Off code:
1GFT82012

The code isn't game specific.

I just bought Guild Wars 2 Standard Digital Download Pre-Purchase for $47.99. I got my Pre-purchase code immediately. It should work for the DDE too.

http://www.gamefly.com/Download-Guild-Wars-2-Digital-Deluxe-Edition/5003826/

I tried to get in on the GMG 25% pre-purchase earlier, but they wouldn't take my money and didn't answer my support tickets. Since GMG is now out of pre-purchase keys, this is a better deal at the same 20% off price with no hassle and no foreign transaction fees.

EDIT (thanks to theflicker):

I already bought my two copies (one for my son, and a physical CE for myself) but this coupon code worked no problem. I'd do this over GMG based on all the issues I have been having for the past few weeks with them.

Thanks OP!

[quote name='Duo_Maxwell']Anyone know if any of their digital downloads are redeemable on steam?[/QUOTE]

It probably depends on the game. I haven't tried it with any games since the switch to Gamefly, but when it was Direct2Drive I was able to activate Just Cause 2 on Steam.

i plan to play on the 28th, been seeing these deals on greenman and etc,

is now the best time to buy? i would rather buy after launch...do you think after 28th when it launches i can still find deals like these? or will everywhere be selling @ full price?

It depends if you're willing to wait or not. I'm guessing there will be brief discount sales after the first month or two, but I don't see the price going down as much or as quickly as other games. Since they're not selling subscriptions, they're going to need to keep selling as many boxes as they can at full price.

Yeah i agree, how soon before the 28th you think the sales will stop? Debating just buying it today for 48$ rather than wait and pay since ill prolly get it anyways.

thinking of going with greenman, what problems have yall experienced? lotta people say its iffy, but i figure ill just pay with debit card and expect the code when its time and register on site and be good to go

I doubt it will be lower before launch. GMG doesn't have 3-day pre-purchase keys for sale anymore, they're just selling regular launch keys now. I'm not sure if the Gamefly code is still good today, but if it is, it's the best price on a real pre-purchase with 3-day headstart.

I tried to buy on the first day GMG had 25% off pre-purchases in stock. I tried different payment methods, different browsers, different PCs and called my bank a few times and filed a support ticket with them during the weekend sale. I simply couldn't make a purchase no matter what and they never replied to my support ticket. They also ran out of pre-purchase keys like I said, so I was on the lookout for other deals.

Aside from payment problems, other people have mentioned that their orders have gone through, but they didn't get keys. Considering how slow they respond to support tickets, if you have any minor problem you'll be lucky to hear back from them and get it straightened out before launch.

Ooh I see thanks. I'm on phone ATM but gonna get on pc an gamefly ASAP! Will update if I get coupon to work

Excellent deal i don't trust GreenManGaming after my debit card was canceled because of them so i got Hitman Absolution, for 36$ and Borderlands 2 with dlc for 48$. :)

There's a guy on NeoGAF selling Guild Wars 2 digital download codes for $36.72. I already bought two off of him and they're legit. Only thing is you have to be a registered user to be able to PM him, so I guess you have to know someone who is. Looks like he's sold quite a few of them.

I've already played this game way too much for the past three days. There is so much to do that you may get overwhelmed if you haven't played MMOs in awhile or this is your first one.

I submitted feedback to Arena Net during the first beta weekend that their New Player Experience sucks. Compared to World of Warcraft, this game kind of throws you out there and then expects you to ask others or figure things out on your own.

On a brighter note, I'm having a great time. The getting rid of the "holy trinity", the lack of obvious treadmills, the way you're rewarded for helping others kill mobs (everyone who dealt damage gets rewarded with loot, everyone gets xp/quest credit, etc.) is fantastic.

I haven't really read much about end game yet, but I could see someone extracting months of fun out of this game anyways. Do you know how when playing Skyrim you can get sidetracked and start to wander off to do random things? That's this game but in multiplayer form. It's totally worth $60 to me.

I am going to PM him about this. Though something worries me. How can they be legit and yet he is selling them for so cheap... hmm.

he stole them...

Thanks for the deal! I've heard good things about the initial impressions of this and decided I needed to pick it up now.

Just an FYI for anyone on the fence with this deal, you can just get the key off your order history page and plug it into the GW2 website. You never actually need to deal with their client or anything.

Bah...of course I missed this thread somehow last night before I bought GW2 from Amazon since GMG was out of keys. At least I'll get a $5 off code from Amazon but would have loved to save that $12.

[quote name='BrolyB593']I just checked and yeah it is still working.[/QUOTE]

I got it! Thank you so much!

SON OF A ASLDASLKDJ

I had GW2 in my cart but have been busy. I finally jump on actually ordering it and now it is out of stock.

I am so glad I purchased it earlier today then! That sucks :(

Did anyone else get a Hero's Band by purchasing this? I thought those were for preorders only. Pleasant surprise

Digital Deluxe is still available but I dont know if I want to spend that much. $64 sounds like a lot and the bonus' don't seem worth it.

I caved last night and got it anyway. The bonuses do not seem worth it for $20. I told myself that I was only spending $10 however seeing as the cheapest I could get it now was for $53 from someone here on CAG or then $60 at any other store.

Sadly now that I have graduated college and have no job I am temporarily back at home where our internet is beyond terrible. The game still is not even done downloading and I started before I went to bed haha oy.

I was contemplating GW2 but I've never really played an MMO and I don't really know if its something id stick with. From the MMO's I've looked at I thought The Secret World looked interesting. I also thought Tera looked interesting because it was more action based. People seem to love GW2 though so it keeps me tempted though

After researching the game and listening to loads of opinions, I have learned you have to take it all with a grain of salt. Personally I have played a few weeks of WoW, Lineage 1, and Tera. While Tera is a action based MMO much more so than GW2, it still didn't keep my interest.

I have come to the conclusion that I don't enjoy spamming my skill rotation on every enemy I see one at a time. I much prefer nuking screens or cutting through groups of enemies. Tera couldn't keep me interested , how is GW2 where your stuck using a predetermined 5 skills depending on what weapon your using?

Edit - I guess I am not an MMO type of gamer.

I'm kinda in the same boat as far as MMOs go, but at least with GW2 you don't have to worry about a sub fee.

thanks for this op...I've been looking for a GW2 deal and $48 has always been the best one since Newegg's pre-order deal. I refused to pay $60 from peer pressure to join friends, lol.

I purchased this fro GameFly too! Thanks for the code. I'm not sure what to do next. It says I've purchased it but I can't see a download button in the client nor can I see some sort of activation/registration key.

Nevermind. I think they were supposed to send me an email but instead decided they needed to speak with me to verify the purchase. Their contact hours are next business day so I'll have to wait even longer!

Yup, that happened to me too with my first GameFly PC Download purchase because I went over some magic line of total amount paid.
They called me the next day, I verified it was me, and they allowed me to download minutes later.
Haven't had to have them call me again - I think its just a one-time deal to make sure you are you.

[quote name='Swordbreaker']Standard edition is now for sale again and the code still works. Bought it around 8pm CST on 9/21/12.[/QUOTE]

I was hoping the game would be available again before the code expired. Unfortunately, the Guild Wars 2 registration process is a mess and has me stuck in an endless loop, so I can't register the game. I emailed support, and I hope they don't take too long to respond. I've been waiting to play this long enough ;)

It took 20% off the preorder for Black Ops 2 (PC)
