Munitio MW3 Headphones 19.99

Mine finally shipped after being backordered for a week. Still have not gotten them to test them out, but they seemed like a great deal at 14.99 and 19.99 isn't much more.
Just got mine in yesterday and they're nothing short of fantastic. Definitely worthy of replacing my apple headphones.
Ha, I got mine yesterday too and I agree with you. They are small and compact and great for use on my phone, but the quality (Especially the bass!) is some of the best sound I've heard from ear buds. Definitely happy with my buy. Glad I ordered two pairs in case I liked them as much as I do!

recent troubles with the post office seem to be that everything that isn't amazon direct seems to be returned to sender...
So I most likely won't see mine till another week.

Got mine yesterday...totally worth the wait! They sounded a little tinny at first but after a few hours of breaking them in the sound quality improved dramatically.

for those that just got them, are you having trouble with them staying in your iphone/ipod? Mine seems to be very touchy and I don't know if it is a product problem or just the way they are made.

My left one falls out of my ear every now and then at the gym, but besides that, the bass is incredible and it isolates all outside noise. Someone could break into my house while I'm sleeping and murder me or rape me, of both and I'd never know it.

Damn, talk about getting lost in the music lol.

I have no problem with them staying in the socket. I have had them in my laptop and phone. You might have a bad pair? Or are iphone different?

And I agree with the above comment on bass. That bass shakes in your head! Very happy with my purchase.

Sound is good but another CAG said that it randomly changes volume of their iphone and switches songs.

I can say that this happened to me this week. I made sure that the iphone was locked and that I wasn't touching the control button on the headset and it still went screwy in my pocket and kept raising and lowering the volume.

I wonder if these are just not the best for i phones? Maybe something in the connection messes with the iphone controls?

yeah. this is the first time I've used it with my iphone. I use it with my shuffle primarily for the gym with no issues.

Just wanted to chime in that I just tried these headphones (bought them when they were $15) and I don't regret my purchase at all. Would recommend!
Might have found the problem for you iphone users here:

Not sure if they still have the recessed headphone jack, but apparently that makes it difficult to plug in 3rd party ear buds. Also, Apple brand buds apparently have built in actuator that if you press the mic button it goes to the next song?
Thanks but I have a 4 which isn't recessed.

I like how that's an article from the 2G.

Ah, OK, could still be the issue with the mic button sending signals though?
I like how that's an article from the 2G.
Honestly, I don't keep up at all with the i-anything or any iterations of it.

It's not just these headphones that will lower/raise volume. It has something to do with having an inline mic, I have a cheaper pair I use for work and they will cause the exact same problems on occasion.

I personally have never had either pair switch songs on me though.

if you guys really want music without problems, get a stand alone player without any inline mic etc. Are these even audiophile grade? Id wait til someone on head-fi talks about em lol. Ton of good cheap earbuds that rock. Of course tho I suppose some of you phone guys will want inline mic.

Immediate thoughts... hmmm.. we're paying $15 bucks looking for some decent/cheap ear buds. We're not exactly audiophiles here... not that audiophiles really know much anyways:

http://gizmodo.com/371536/300-audiophile-grade-power-cable-is-really-worth-15

And Munitio actually has some decent reviews in random threads on head-fi so...

Well, just because some audiophiles are idiots doesn't mean it's all a ripoff.

Also, while pretty good, these are far from being Audiophile-Good earbuds.

I got those monoprice ones and they are really good. Just hard to find a really honest review from any audiophile guys on the mw3 earphones, you will just read tons of reviews from COD fans raving about how good they are. If something doesnt have a positive review from people on head-fi, i wont buy it, so far soo good with alot of the suggestions I seen on that forum.

That's just one person though who paid $180 for some ear buds. Price has a lot to do with impressions IMO. None of those cheapies I would call audiophile grade either, just cheapies someone was impressed with. I don't doubt that they might be great sounding ear buds on a budget, but so are these. Probably a bit bass heavy, but I like that personally.

Pretty good for $15 IMO, will handily clobber Skullcandies and Apple earbuds and other overpriced garbage. At $20...that's a judgment call on whether you want IEMs. Still can't compete with the "legendary" Koss KSC75 which can be found for the same $15ish any time you want at Amazon, but those are ear clip style and don't have an inline mic. If it wasn't for the inline mic for phone use I personally would not have bothered buying them the last sale.

what's the general consensus there on the shure 315s?

Really tempted to get these. Can anyone compare these to the Skullcandy 50/50s? Saw an offer on Amazon for $19.99. Really just debating on which pair to get.

Rule of thumb for audiophiles

If you believe in the "Burning in," process.

You're an idiot.

Second,

I've seen some people who call themselves audiophiles just because they bought some dre beats.

Mine came in last week. I tried them out a bit but they sounded tinny like someone else said. I'm back to my JBLs I got on clearance from Target a few years ago. Guess I'll try "breaking" them in and see if improves them..

Another tip for better sound: the bass is almost entirely dependent on choosing the right size "hollow point" and seating the buds correctly, ie actually up in your ear canal a little bit. This improved the sound quality and noise reduction for me immensely.

Not only do these earbuds sound amazing and are PERFECT for the gym, the customer support is mind blowing awesome on them.

I got these and loved them as soon as they broke in. The big thing about them is that there are earclips you can attach to the earbuds, keeping them in your ear during gym usage where your body is all over the place. This is 100x nicer then all the other earbuds ive tried (about 5-6 different ones till these) that all come out if you're really working out.

So one day after the gym, im getting out of the car and something tugs on me, and i noticed that the headphone jack got caught on the seat rail and ripped in half. Totally my fault and i tugged too hard thinking it was like my shoe lace. I had only purchased one set of them, so i had to go back to other earbuds which literally effected my gym routine from all the popping out that happens. I immediately ordered 2 more of them, and then also emailed Munitio about what happened, and if i could send them in for repair or whatever.

The customer service rep said just please answer some questions, like name, address, where you bought it from etc. I filled it all out, and then was emailed a pre-paid shipping label to return the earbuds. I mailed them out, then when they received it, got a email saying a new set had been shipped out to me. Today, as promised, a brand new box of the MW3 earbuds arrived factory sealed from them. Talk about insanely awesome customer service. I just had to tell anyone looking for earbuds, these are the ones to get for many reasons.

I've been looking for a set of earbuds. I think I'm going to stop at a TD store this weekend to pick up a set of these. thanks for the reccs, CAGs!
I just bought some turtle beaches x12. Not sure if should return them and just get these... Hmm decisions
You do realize that these are earbuds for listening to music, not for gaming? It says that on the box. On a side note I hope the new black ops 2 earbuds drop in price as they are even nicer then these!
