Might end up buying most of my Bandai Stuff at the Over Priced Anime Store. But if prices jump way way up, I'm likely to change my mind.

Because everyone is buying everything right now. I feel like some places might be getting orders faster than they are receiving copies.

Yeap. People are just making a mad dash to get anything Bandai right now. Hopefully, that lets up in the future. Of course, we could be wrong on that. But we can hope.

Thats what im hoping for. I had planned on getting (between now and the end of November) the complete sets of G Gundam, Code Geass, Gundam Wing, Eureka Seven, Gundam 00, and Gurren Lagann. Hopefully Gurren Lagann and the Second halves of Gundam 00 and Eureka Seven come back in stock at a real value before the end of november.

Gohastings.com is working for me, so if you're having trouble accessing their site, it's on your end.

Just looking at their site, pretty much what everyone has stated is OOS on other sites is in pretty much the same state on their site. Although Hastings has a horrible inventory system, so it could be in stock and listed under another name. It's happened to me multiple times, like recently with ordering You're Under Arrest: Mini-Specials and end up getting the "remastered version" of YUA: the Motion Picture, which was listed OOS at the time of ordering.

I am noticing that most of the stuff listed still has quite a few of the individual volume releases still available cheap(Gundam 00, Gurren Lagann). So if none of the collection sets get a reprint before November, those might be the cheapest possible way to obtain them any time soon.

The girl who leapt through time is available on BD as a double pack with Summer Wars in the UK (about $31 shipped for both), but it's Region B locked. Not sure how the transfer there compares to the US one though. I may pick that up eventually but I'd rather get a Region A version

Not as expensive as the stand alone Volume 11 that I lack. Average of 80 to 100 bucks is total crap. I may manage to snag it at some second hand place or pawn shop if I am lucky.

It is kinda sad to see them stop selling their shows. Was kinda hoping to see an Eureka 7 Blu-ray release (not the movie).

Also, found out I had extra copies of Eureka 7 volumes 8 and 9. Where did these come from?

Jesus Christ that's expensive for a single volume...

One of my best finds was easily the Digimon DVD that had the first 12 episodes (paid around $10 for it a year ago), sadly that thing's value will die with the Complete Series box set coming out soon

As I mentioned before, I ordered a copy of TGWLTS vol 1 listed as new from GoHastings and they sent me a used copy that was pretty banged up.

So after a week, and a second email where I mentioned that I'd file a claim with Amazon if they didn't get back to me, GoHastings said that they couldn't exchange my order for another copy but that they'd gladly refund my money. This reply wouldn't have bothered me, except that they still have "new" copies listed as being in stock on Amazon. So either none of their copies are actually new, or they're just not willing to fix their mistake. Either way, the insert was fine and the disc can be cleaned up and put into a new case. I'm not interested in getting a refund just so I can pay twice as much for an actual new copy.

In pseudo-bandai news, I found a used copy of the ADV release for 5 Centimeters Per Second for around $10 yesterday. Now I can keep my other copy sealed, and still watch both versions of the movie.

The Insignia NS-WBRDVD2 or NS-WBRDVD3 are probably as cheap as you'll get. All you need to do is copy a region free firmware over to the player (via USB drive or even a CD-R), enter a code on the remote and you basically have a Region free player (both BD and DVD's). I have one and it works perfectly:

As long as you take care of your PS3, you're probably OK using it for general-purpose media viewing. I got my PS3 when Metal Gear Solid 4 released, and I've been using it as my primary media hub ever since. It usually sees anywhere from one to four hours of disc-playing daily, and still runs great. (I like to play some of my DVDs while doing chores or paperwork, and while I'm eating)

One of the big things is to make sure that the vents for your PS3 are clear and have plenty of room near them, and not to enclose your PS3 in a closed space. If you have it in a media cabinet, either leave the door open or make sure there is constant ventilation. Overheating is one of the biggest dangers for current-gen high-definition systems.
